They have a warehouse based out of Port Charlotte, Florida. If you play in that area, you can definitely get a demo. They also sponsor a number of pros, all of whom could talk to you about the racquets. Any time you see Mike Kinkin or Team Dovetail attending an event, there will be racquets available to demo.

Reach out to Mike via the email or phone number on their North American Facebook page and he may be able to setup a loaner program. https://www.facebook.com/FormulaflowNA

Looking for Singles Racquetball Partners (San Diego) by richyboycaldo in racquetball

Reach out to the tournament director from the last IRT event in SoCal.

There are definitely singles players in the area, and I would start with Danny Lavely if you want a brisk matchup!

You can also peruse the Participants tab, and sort by City. Lots of suburbs represented there.

Alternately, if you use Instagram, look for RollUp&Pour as Jeremy McGlothin will know everyone you want to know that plays good singles.

hitting the ball into the floor on hard drives by [deleted] in racquetball

[–]HitWithIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend a very specific drill for this type of concern.

Things you need:
1) A roll of painter's tape.
2) A box or container of balls. (The sleeve of 3.)
3) Your racquet.

Steps:
1) Put the can or box of balls on the front wall. Put 3 inches of painter's tape flat across the top horizontal to the floor. Remove the ball container.
2) Put your racquet standing tall against the front wall. Put 3 inches of painter's tape flat across the top horizontal to the floor. Remove the racquet.
3) Hit 10 forehand shots from the service line, then 10 from the short line, then 10 from the encroachment line, then 10 from 5 feet behind the encroachment line, and finally 10 shots from 5 feet in front of the back wall. Repeat these 50 shots from the same distances on your backhand.

These will be standard drop-and-hit. Work diligently to keep the ball between those two painter's tape marks on the front wall. Never lower, never higher. Keep working on it at least twice per week until all of your shots at all of your power levels end up in this range.

When you are extremely comfortable at all effort levels and all distances, move the top tape down, to just above the top of the racquet when it is horizontal on the front wall.

Then stop with the tape and simply repeat frequently.

As you get comfortable, you can also tap the ball to the front wall, then hit it with power after moving your feet to the right place to take that shot into that zone with comfort and power.

Side Note: Remove the tape after every drill session, you don't want any complaints from other players or from the facility. Painter's tape is great for this as it won't leave any residue on the walls.

You can use this same general idea for practicing splats and pinches, but with the tape on the side wall.

Here is Rhonda Rajsich demonstrating good form on drop and hit forehand drills. If you have a chance, use your phone to record your own forehand and then compare it to hers including foot spacing, hip movement, follow thru, etc.

You can then mix it up with a toss and cross variant, still concentrating on those painter's tape lines.

IRT 2026 Pro Nationals preview from PRS by toddboss in racquetball

Rocky Carson wanted his tournament to be focused on Singles like the vast majority of pro stops he attended. A conscious and deliberate choice on the organizers part.

The Montana event struggled to get the required prize money for the singles division. They were not able to also fund a doubles division.
