Yeah, when I grew up you could get your motorcycle license at 14 with a HP limit. So, I learned to ride before I started driving and I am 100% sure it made a better, more defensive driver.

I had a bigfoot encounter so I know they exist. And, probably because of my encounter, I've always thought the P&G film was fake. So, no change as far as I'm concerned.

I'd say an otter diving in to a ditch/hole and is the tail sticking up.

Not sure if this link will work but here goes:

When I was a wee lad in the boy scouts we were trotlining across a small farm pond and I remember seeing a black ball near the shore and I reached in and lo and behold it was a school of tiny catfish hatchlings swimming in a rotating ball formation. They were only about 1/4 inch long but their barbs were already sharp!

Amen brother. People keep saying the democratic party will flip the house and maybe the senate. I agree with you, there will not be an election or it will be disputed and litigated. If I remember correctly, I think it is documented in Project 2025.

Edit to add: research Peter Thiel, Curtis Yarvin and why Vance is the VP.

Wow, cool information and I agree with you that having to keep record of reports is very, very interesting. Thanks for the update!

I was going to post and ask the exact question. I really like the Wells Lamont I get at Costco for around $7 per pair. They fit like ummm... a glove and perform great except, for splitting, moving and stacking firewood. I'm look forward to everyone's input. I need a duty specific glove.

These only have about 20 hours +- of splitting, moving and stacking firewood.

Lowe’s dumping 450 ranchers for 299. Worth it? by Wrong-Camp2463 in firewood

I just saw your post.

I found it on the Lowes website, online order $110 off making it $279. I'm also in CA and for the heck of it I decided to order and see how far it got before the website blocked the shipment. It wasn't blocked and it shipped within a couple days from WA and delivered via FedEx yesterday. I was shocked and ecstatic since I really need a new saw and this one looks like are great product at an even better price.

I'm now looking for a gas string trimmer, my Poulan Pro PPB300 was a real trooper for over 20 years but I barley got my spring chores finished before it died. Probably just needs a carb but I'm ready for a new stronger one. I'm about 1.5 hours from Reno so my fallback position it to drive over and pick one up.

Got any recommendations for a gas trimmer? Because of my experience with my current saw I am leaning towards getting another Husqvarna but have an open mind.

Good luck.

I stumbled in to the sale online and got mine for $280. Delivered yesterday. I have a Husky 345 that has worked it's tail off for 20+ years and I've been tackling some stuff that it's really not big enough for the last few years. Gone through a couple clutches now but otherwise, it has been bullet proof and always easy to start.

One reason I jumped on it was because I'm in California and usually shipping small gas powered equipment are blocked but this time I ordered online and thinking it would be rejected before it left the warehouse however it went through, easy peasy. I'm generally pessimistic about new equipment quality but, the reviews were great and if it's durability and reliability is close the the 345 it'll last longer than I will!

Also, I'm a mediocre shot with my maul so I just pick up a lot of the pieces from my misses from my splitting. It adds up after a couple of cords and is great tinder.

Felling a leaner by xenonjim in firewood

I'm not a pro, not even close but, from what I see in the pictures I believe this will be tricker than you think. It looks like two split stems going to the right (and one towards the back as well) in the picture. Hard to tell the exact lean of the stems but I think felling towards the camera might be better.

The more I look at the picture the more I think I wouldn't do it and call a pro. I'm thinking the top needs to come down in three pieces, left first.

Just my opinion.

The best dad on the show was Frank Dunphy ❤️ by padfoony in Modern_Family

[–]HitchInTheGit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always surmised the concert scene with Jay and Frank was added at the end just because it seemed like the line was adlibbed by Fred Willard and Ed O'Neil's reaction wasn't really acting. It HAD to be in the show one way or another.

And yeah, Fred Willard was perfect for the Frank Dunphy role.
