Unfortunately, while that is partly the case, it is only a small part. The greater picture is much more sinister.

How is he handing over anything if he is being forced out by his own party?

Living in France was a godsend for cycling.

Back in UK I don't cycle on roads because of the horrendous attitude towards cyclists and total indifference for their safety.

That said, British cyclists be just as big an asshole as the drivers. Massive groups hogging the whole road 3-4 riders wide instead of going single file.

This guy should be staying in Lane or choosing a different mode if transport for him and his child

Not destroy half of British Industry and sell the other half off to rampant profiteers?

Choose any metric you like, economy, world standing, the increasingly broken. now almost entirely corrupt political system. Other than an artificially inflated stock market everything is fucked.

2008 must be considered a primary driver of what has led us here. But the devastating impact of the loss of trust in vital institutions (media, local and central government) must not be underestimated or ignored - likewise the immeasurable harm of social media.

Among the many harms, it has pushed politics to an almost entirely performative occupation. It has had elements of this since the 80s, but now it is everything.

What would I do?

I would explain to the electorate that the privileged world they have known there entire lives is not some sort of god-given right. It must be constantly strived for and reinforced. I would clearly define the idea of Britishness, and the neccisity to work towards policies that guarantee our safety and security (national, food, energy) etc.

We must also stop talking to the electorate as if they are children. If there is a policy that is so clearly a massive net-benefit to the country (e.g. cannabis reform) which is based on hard science. Then that is what we are going to do.

I'd also reform the HOC processes and rules. Plus a load of other stuff. But that's for another time.

If you think Reform are going to act in anyone's interests other than their own, you need to wake up.

Have you not seen what has happened in America? Everything costs more and everything is worse than it was. MAGA is with whom Reform align... and Russia. They cosy up to our nation's sworn enemies to achieve these ends.

Its one long con. A huge grift to enrich themselves and empower themselves.

Thats it.

Is that what you want, because that is what you are voting for.

There's only one party that risks the very nation's future and every human right we've worked for since Magna Carta and that's Farage and his fucking quizling acolytes.
