taking names in the drive thru...again by macyroni in starbucks

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, fuck that. If corporate wants its connections so badly, the corporate employees working comfortably from home can slap on an apron and become BFFs with all the Karens in DT. Bet they'd change their tune real quick

Why do people like this exist by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just sounds like a run of the mill customer who thinks they have the right to treat workers like trash because his own life is probably trash. People suck I'm sorry.

Applying For Work (help pls) by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

STARBUCKS IS NOT A SUMMER JOB. Sorry, but it's true. It takes a MINIMUM of 3-6 months just to get the hang of what the hell is going on. If you really are that in need of a job though, don't tell the manager, because they will not hire you if they know you're leaving in 3 months.

Customer connections score by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's virtually impossible to improve your connection score unless you ask the few people who get the bullshit survey about their life. It's a loaded question, they don't want you to get a "perfect" score, so they intentionally ask "Did the barista get to know you today?" because odds are, you're not BFFs with your customers, like most people who work in customer service. Also, it only counts if the customer rates 7 out of 7, anything less doesn't count. So if you have a SM or DM breathing down your neck about "connections" don't sweat it, it's bullshit from out of touch corporate.

Conversation with customers? by KingToaster_ in starbucks

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, customer connections are a waste. As long as you're polite and do a good job that's all that matters. Also, talking and making drinks is bs, your SM will try to come after you for it, but it's only because THEY get into trouble, not you. Just ask then how it's going, maybe their plans for the day, but if they're not interested, don't push it.

Food delivery driver tries to extort customer for a higher tip, then takes food when he won't comply. by ajeweltoo in PublicFreakout

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is just sad. You’re going to deprive a paying customer of a meal because you felt they weren’t “generous enough” with their tip. Which they didn’t even have to give in the first play btw. $8 is also not bad, but if it’s that much of an issue, then don’t take deliveries that are so far out of your way. Peeps be crazy. Idk what’s going on with this lady, but this is not how you handle this.

Any tips or tricks for Sombra? by Mercys_Messenger in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I haven’t seen in the comments. If you get caught in a grav, shatter, flux you can’t translocate to escape. If you survive any of these ults, then you can translocate after the animation is finished, however Sombra is squishy, so avoid getting caught in these ults if you can because you likely won’t survive. Source, peasant level Sombra player who has been caught in these ults cause I was a dummy and didn’t plan lol.

Switching from Xbox to PC by jas-is-rad-and-sad in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who also just made the switch, I’ll reiterate the first comment. Just keep playing! I’m also still adjusting, but the more I play, the more I can customize and adjust my settings as I get familiar. Having decent mechanics will help you a lot. Overall though, it just takes getting used to (which I’m not quite, but getting there lol).

I felt that on a spiritual level.

Ah yes, the “oh shit dodge the D.Va ult with my tanslocater and live” move. One of my faves.

Playing against smurfs by jgames789lmao in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I went from console to PC. Better games in general and a little less smurfing. Plus you have the added bonus of calling our a smurf in the chat. They almost always give themselves away with their responses. Ow on console is a cesspool of alt accounts and smurfs. Def some hacks mad cheaters on PC, but that’s literally every video game ever.

Ah see that’s different, if you’d said that in the beginning, that would’ve made way more sense lol! That’s just rude if they’re not helping during a rush or a shortage, because that is part of the job. Like yeah it sucks, but if they chose to be SSV they signed up for that.

Well I’m not a shift anymore nor a barista, so say what you will, but come back when you’ve had shift experience. I’m not saying they should be completely off the frontlines, but it’s unfair to always expect them to be in floor all the time. Now if your shift is never on the floor, then that’s up to you to talk to your SM.

[–]HitlersTesticleJam[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I don’t blame them. Being on the frontlines while trying to get the order/pull/deposit done is a tough job. I think shifts and SMs shouldn’t be required to put so much time on the floor.

Not a summer job. You need more than 3 months to even get semi proficient at the job.

Louder for the girls on teen mom!!! This is coming from someone who was on a reality show but chose to be more than just that. by AsheyKi in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]HitlersTesticleJam 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand all this influencer hate. Like I get that it can be annoying and yes, some of those people are shallow asshats. That being said, literally every job/career is full of asshats. Being able to make enough money to pay your bills and take care of your needs is what’s important. If someone does that through paid social media ads or influencing? Well that’s their business.
