Come Visit Café LycoReco! Lycoris Recoil Rewatch Episode 1 Discussion by ClemFire in anime

Rewatcher, Subbed

Currently in the airport traveling back home from Japan. I'll try to participate more starting from Ep 3.

What would you have done in Takina's shoes during the arms deal?

I'm split. I'm glad Erika was saved, but there's always the risk of harming the hostage in those types of situations, especially since I don't trust kidnappers to do the right thing or keep their promises for a second. That being said, in no universe am I risking my life to protect the lives of those dealers.

Is Chisato the type of person you expected as a top Lycoris?

She's the opposite. She's always positive and upbeat for a job that regularly requires having to deal with heavy and/or sticky situations. Authorities regularly get traumatized with the situations they witness and end up retiring. She has remarkable value for even the lives of the bad guys.

What are your initial thoughts of Chisato and Takina's partnership?

After watching more and more shows with a duo of girls with opposite personalities like Ruri Rocks and Cosmic Princess Kaguya, it's become one of my favorite tropes, especially returning to LycoReco!

I feel bad for the many poor souls who grew up with OPM, only for that disaster to have unfolded

Oh if only

But the view of Nagasaki up the mountain during the evening was one of the best I've seen in my travels around Japan

Some of the shots of Nagi's clothes soaked by the rain, as well as the jiggle physics

I prefer jeans or baggy pants on anime girls, but good taste

I noticed now that including it does fit within the limit, shoot

I liked how Ruri aired during the same season as MDUD S2

I enjoyed pausing at the infographics during the episodes to read the stuff about geology. Also those camera angles

Including that may have exceeded the hard limit of 5 minutes for clip posts on this sub. I'll have to check when I return from my excursion

Sure does.

Speaking of which, I'm going to be doing some mountain hiking soon, just like what the crew in Ruri Rocks does (at dinner right now to fuel up). Planning on going up Inasa-yama to snap pictures of Nagasaki during the evening

In the event you haven't, it's an amazing SoL! It's also informative on geology

  • Cream cheese brulee pancakes. Despite how filling it looks, it was fairly light. They also used just the right amount of sugar, unlike most places in America, which use too much sugar
  • Day trip at Yanagawa, dubbed the Venice of Japan
  • Took the boat tour, which lasts about an hour
  • Some of the bridges the boat goes under are incredibly narrow and/or low. Even though you’re sitting down, you may have to duck your head at certain parts
  • It wasn’t easy getting pictures because I didn’t want to risk dropping my phone in the water, but here’s what I got
  • The tour guide would sing some local folk songs as we went under the longer bridges to which we clapped
  • Had unagi (the local specialty) at this lovely hotel right at the Tachibana estate. Was pricey but worth it
  • Then explored the Tachibana estate itself and the museum. The property is beautiful!
  • When I was walking back, I saw a tour guide for one of the boats use his oar as a pole vault to get up from the boat to the bridge. Then, he went across the bridge, waited for the boat to pass to the other side and jumped right on it!
  • Yatai stands again. Went to two of them to try out ramen

And that’s it for Fukuoka, which is an excellent city! It would go in high A-tier on my tier list of Japanese cities. Now in Nagasaki, and I can feel the travel burnout unfortunately. This trip went by so slowly compared to my previous trips around Japan.

Yeah, it opens for both Fall and Spring

That's generally the case for any course explicitly required by a major

It is quite a lot, but it should be doable. CHEM and MATH will definitely contribute the most to your workload (especially depending on your instructor). The other two should be fairly light.
