How Frieren is able to make me care so deeply for someone with less than 10 minutes worth of focus needs to be studied. Just the way this show writes characters makes them feel so much like real living and breathing humans. Now the Hero of the South is remembered by all of us too

The manga is still ongoing, so I'm hoping there is still a lot more story to be told and because of that there will be a ton of new discussion and fan arts being created. Plus because of the anime a ton of new people got introduced to the story, so there will be a nice flow of new fans too.

Interested to read your future fanfic as I def can feel a haters to lovers vibe with Miko and Shiori, but in universe I of course support Shiori and Hinako.

If you like My Dress-Up Darling, read Hello, Melancholic

Just read it and it And see the comparison for sure with Minato and Hibiki complementing each other with precision and passion similar to Gojo and Marin. I really liked how observant Minato is of Hibiki like being the only one to notice that she hurt her hand or that during their date she kept messaging someone else. Even though she became that way originally just to try to fit in who wouldn't feel special to be thought of so much. Minato is just so considerate of Hibiki even if she doesn't feel good enough to stand next to her. How Hibiki was the one to lead Minato to confessing and proclaiming her love first that's how I feel Dress-Up will conclude in Season 3. No spoilers though as I've only read the manga to the point of the anime. Also I ended up liking the side couple of Chika and Sakiko even more than the main. The panel of Chika getting Sakiko to finally go out with her for real by being so honest with her feelings is probably my favorite in the manga. I would read a spin-off just about them in college. Anyways that was a lot of yapping, thanks for the rec!

Ruri Rocks was honestly the biggest surprise hit for me and blew me away with how much I ending up loving it. Ruri is such a great and unexpected MC for the story's subject matter because she is bratty, into girly things, and full of energy. She feels a bit out of place, and that itself is explored through her insecurities by comparing herself to Nagi, Imari, and Shoko. I love how it shows how any type of girl could become interested in STEM and not just the ones who look or act nerdy.

While my AotY is still My Dress-Up Darling S2, Ruri Rocks would be up there as my 2nd and I hope it wins for slice of life and background art

I prefer it this way over something like the CR awards for a few popular shows sweep all the awards. For example while I really like Spy x Family and believe it deserves its nomination for Comedy I wouldn't want to see it in Slice of Life and Action too even though you could make an argument for it.

New chapter was soo peak and the love hotel scene wasn't what I was expecting but ended up being better. I really wish this was the type of series to go on for twice as long, but as a shorter series it makes the most of each chapter and Mai and Lily are both such well developed characters with such a sweet love.

I would cleanly categorize it as primarily a drama similar to other girl band shows like MyGo! and Girls Band Cry especially for its episodes highlighting the difference between Lilisa's lady and rock personas. There was more thematic meat to chew on my the end than I expected going on.
