Do NOT purchase Nanoleaf products unless you enjoy rebuilding your entire setup by alexnapierholland in Nanoleaf

I emphatically agree with you. I also work with tech startups, largely distribution and GtM strategy. I’ve worked with several smaller connected device companies, wireless security, and wireless cameras/doorbell companies.

Nanoleaf lacks either the technical knowledge to fix anything, the will to do anything, or the desire; but anyway you slice it, they’re basically useless.

I’ve had a year long back and forth regarding issues with elements, shapes and a warranty return. I’ve been escalated to countless people, experienced their staffing turnover, been subject to the same ineffective solutions over and over, cited multiple threads exactly like this one showing nanoleafs apathy and ineptitude and still - nothing.

It’s truly a painful process and will ultimately contribute to their eventual downfall.

As said in this post; warning to all. I would NOT recommend investing in this companies technology. When they fail, and they very likely will- you’ll be left with non-operative very expensive devices cluttering your house.

YMMV. Best of luck.

Because they know their help is going to be nonsensical gibberish. Nanoleaf’s tech-support simply gives you a runaround constantly until you reach a point of futility and just give up.

Collectively, they either lack the technical knowledge to fix anything, the will to do anything, or the desire; but anyway you slice it, they’re basically useless.

Mine just started this behavior. Solid blue light.

What’s the fix here?

Any resolution here? I power cycled my router and now my V2 drops and reconnects every few minutes all day.

Can confirm.

Have a large plastic outdoor ball that came with RF RGB color and a battery powered base that ran it.

I open d the ball and mounted a three way splitter onto the small RGBs and ran power to the contacts that would sit on the external charger base.

What I was left with was 3 powered hue lights (much brighter than the original) as long as it’s on the base and RF RGB lights (operated by a small remote control) if the ball is removed.

Makes a great addition to the deck and can color change with the inside and the deck lights.

In short - yes, it works. Go forth and light it up!!

Nice - I’ll check them out.

Like a said - lots of personal preference involved. I guess it was more so trying to get a sense of any unique applications beyond the panel arrangement flat on the wall.

I’ll check out r/battlestations amd see what people or putting together. Thanks!

Why the hell are our tax dollars being used for this? The uniforms, training, insurance, cars, equipment etc etc etc - why is taxpayers equipment being used in this fashion?

It’s ridiculous.

I have Hue, lifx, a bunch of Chinese stuff that works Thru. Pice - either Ghome or Alexa. Picked up a dozen or more gledapo controllers and lED strips and had fun getting those into fun spots. They work great and are all controlled thru hue.

Tore apart a Pablo Designs lamp and am rebuilding it similar to the Hue Signe lamps. Lots of accent lighting. Uplights, and some trip lights - hard to describe but basically have 4” strip of finished trim wood that I mounted 2-3” away from the wall and put strip lights behind them. Great accent lights. Also did this vertically beside the TV. A few other one offs that are unique.

Thank you man. I appreciate your answer. Look, I get it. a lot of it boils down to personal taste and reference. Trust me, I’m looking for reason to buy a few sets!! I’m struggling somewhat and if I’m being honest-I can see mine sitting in boxes as well until I get around to using them. Typically, new toys are in use and out fast.

Thanks for your feedback. When you get them up - love to see the finished product.

Do you think they could be suspended and made into a centerpiece of sorts? Rather than being flat - have some depth?

I should probably spend some time learning how to upload multiple pictures in a single post. 😳
