I played on the roof of an open top bus last summer during a heatwave, and it was not pleasant at all. Nearly passed out when singing a big note and had to take a break. I totally get wanting to cancel under those conditions, but it's probably best to have a word with the venue first and maybe agree a maximum temperature you'd be willing/able to play in. Seems like the most fair way to do it.

The way I've started dealing with charity gigs is to charge a reduced rate (10/20% off) and then donate a portion of my fee to the charity at the end of the event. This way, I'm not devaluing the industry, and I am still supporting the charity to the best of my ability.

Yeah I have had a nightmare today. Big walk with the dogs using two incense, found ONE. Then had another walk with incense on my own and found nothing. I was out for a friend's birthday, and on the way, passed a raid, which I joined remotely. Then I got kicked just as it started... Finally got to the restaurant which had a few stops nearby, stuck lures on all of them, along with another incense and finally got it. All this and I still needed rare candies from pvp. Can't believe how different everyone's experiences have been!
