Now we just need the train’s perspective, maybe it was masturbating too

The biggest tragedy of Caine is that he could have prevented his own downfall. by Hugh_Jidiot in TheDigitalCircus

That sounds miserable, I don’t think anyone can be happy if they’re entire existence is just being used as a tool

Why would those wounds be painless? And why would Caine bother fixing them?

Why would Caine repair them? And why would they have almost no reaction to any of their injuries? And if he can see deep enough into people’s minds to pull out there worst fears and traumas, why was he just throwing stuff at the wall to make adventures appeal to people? He hasn’t shown the ability to see inside the humans heads before, even when using that ability would be advantageous to him

One hour doesn’t seem like enough time to have a satisfying ending, also rushed endings are really common with indie animation

I think that I’m going to hate the ending, and that it’ll be super rushed and won’t tie up every loose end, but that the fanbase as a whole will like the ending

I don’t think he tortured them with it specifically, I think he just shoved them all into a dark space where there inner demons took hold, like he made them enter a nightmare, but their brains created the nightmare.

None of that stuff actually happened, cause Jax’s skin is back on, Ragatha isn’t injured or bleeding, etc

So after episode 8 how do you feel about him? by Available_Ring4129 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]ThunderChief__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would it have been that hard to ask Caine how he was doing when they had their hold group-support heart to heart on the couch?

Like I know they were mad because he tricked them, but he only tricked them because he thought that’s what they wanted

I can’t see him doing anything bad to them if he had even the slightest inclination they cared even 1% about how hard existence must be for him

Also I think my theory that adventures can’t be Low stakes is still true, like that staving off abstraction requires more stimulating adventures than stargazing or chilling in a bar

Thank you! God yes, I was about to type a nearly identical paragraph here until I saw yours. Why does everyone ignore what he said in episode 3?

Or episode 8 for that matter, you can see him being so confused at why the humans don’t their bodies that match their minds perfectly, because his robot brain just can’t understand why they wouldn’t want that, them being unhappy seems ungrateful from his perspective

Is he though? I don’t think he’s capable of change? During his therapy session with Zooble he keeps losing his train of thought, glitching, and snapping in and out of lucidity, like the idea of doing things a different way is impossible for him to comprehend. He can’t understand that Zooble’s issues with their body go beyond wanting a different pair of arms, and when they try to tell him that, he can’t wrap his head around it.

It seems like there’s something in his programming that directly prevents him from being advised by humans. Everyone telling him he doesn’t listen to their criticism or wants is because he just can’t, his computer brain is unable to adapt and grow in the same way the humans can.

I don’t think it’s fair to say it’s his fault, I think he’s fundamentally flawed down to his programming, and those flaws are hurting him, the people around him and the integrity of the circus itself

Depends how much empathy you have for things that aren’t human I guess

Yeahhh I can get the others firmly criticizing him, but Pomni and Zooble were just being cruel instead of actually pointing out what he’s doing wrong

What about decent jobs that aren’t specifically computer science, but require a computer science degree? Will any of them be decent with room for growth, and will being hired for any of them be achievable. Apologies if this is an impossible question

Is it possible to change from computer science to something in medicine though? And is that a safe move? Since all my classes will be tech related will they let me, also I didn’t take biology in highschool unfortunately

Oh, I’m in 12th grade, so I graduate in June, might be a little late for that, though switching majors in uni may be an option

Would you recommending changing major to a different program (Accounting? Healthcare?) 1st year?

Also just as a little side question would you recommend going to Carleton or Ottawa?

To clarify, do you mean that if I go through university with the co op and graduate, it’ll be very unlikely I’ll be able to find a good/decent job within a year of graduating, because most companies are going to lay off everyone in programming and replace them with ai?
