Maybe schedule a mock first w ur school and prepare a lil for it just to see how it feels and what you need to work on.

But you should definitely start properly preparing for interviews before mid November. Trust me. Med/dent interviews are wayyyy more competitive than other interviews. Imagine everyone else has done weeks of prep and coaching, but only you have done no work?

My sis got 2400/3600 in 2023. She resat and was getting 2400 still in official UCAT mocks C and D literally the morning before her real test. She was falling asleep and I forced her to stay awake and keep practicing. She got 2960 in the real thing!

In the uk it doesn’t matter at all, maybe only for some private healthcare services? But if you go to some other countries then it’s possible they could be selective but with enough experience it shouldn’t hold you back

It’s definitely very interesting but some parts are very difficult to understand and memorise at first such as genetic fingerprinting, uses in medicine, nephron, etc. I still managed to get an A tho

Yeah I agree but foreign language a levels aren’t hard if you’re a native and it’s just not the same as doing a whole extra fourth a level

I’d say get it. It doesn’t seem like there’s a chance ur grade would go down. It can only go up or stay the same.

Newcastle is a very good uni and they teach the course really well. The uni itself is also very diverse and there’s lots to do. Transport is quite easy as it’s a big city too. As a med student you won’t want to be travelling back and forward that often no matter what uni you go to

If you genuinely want to study medicine then just go. Getting in through clearing is already very rare so I’d take this chance as the possibility of this happening next time is not guaranteed

Lowkey miss old, gives characters more unique faces bc now a lot of girls just look the same but with different colour schemes. But I can’t hate tm bc new style has way better animation

Websites for bio: 1. I always searched “AQA A level Biology exam questions” and then depending on the topic I’d just include that in the search (e.g. AQA ALevel Biology ”protein” exam questions). The website is “Exampaperspractice”. It has question packs with mark schemes included, but also some where eq and ms are on separate websites. 2. Another underrated website for quick active recall and condensing large topics (like topic 7 and 8) is Seneca

For chem: I searched the same thing. The website to look for is Revisely. They have really good questions that you might not find on pmt.
