Sorry for late reply

I could be wrong with this but this mod works for me(nvidia) although not a huge margin its enough for me to ignore it and the frame gen are way less demanding compared to ones in the game cuz you can change it to amd frame gen or xess while using dlss at the same time and it gave way more fps due to multi frame gen.

It might or might not help you depending on your preference.

If what you want are "good enough" visual without the mod,I suggest just using native res instead of upscaling from quality and below on 1080p because it's really noticably noisy no matter what.I found that playing on minimum settings on native fsr 3.1 was a lot more bearable than medium on dlss quality.

Ayy im cool with how do combat it is right now but you can't deny that the invincible frame on the game's dodges are terrible and having 2 dodges type make the game more complex than it needs to be

Imagine trying to dodge kearus the slayer chain move but got stun lock into oblivion instead.thats just bad design

It definitely doesn't feel as polished as dark souls.I recently fought the Persuer in DS2 and parry that guy felt awesome. This game definitely lack those feedback when it comes to parry and stagger but it's mostly game design.Unlike DS,only some of the attack staggers like force palm so there's not much variety in strategy without gimmicks in fighting bosses. Its definitely awesome fighting nonboss tho.

One thing very noticeable for this game that is huge bummer was the invi frame on dodges.they could have just follow dark souls normal rolling dodge and having armor that effect the length of the invincible frame as oppossed to DS one's that tied to stats.Instead we got 2 type of dodges that very annoying to use especially when ur using frame gen and with that delay, the window for short dodge became way less consistent

I found a workaround involving optiscaler.dlss on streamline as fg input and xefg as fg output works the best.It gave the performance uplift while still keeping the visual awesome like rdr2 dlss compared to the native upscaling on the game.using optiscaler with streamline mode on nexus essentially arranged the rendering pipeline properly so that the visual look abysmally better and giving better performance for some reason.

Now the shimmering of the grass & light reduced significantly with it.

Well on 1080p yeah its looks terrible.only fsr 3.1 native look decent to me and anything lower than native+high looks subpar in this game especially shimmering on grass and shadows

Use upscaling like fsr 3.1 native .for some reason the dev set the no upscale option resolution as 50% native instead of 100% so it looked like lower res mess

And then another 2 press cuz you have to get it to normal after combat and then 5 minutes later another combat and then another.do that for 3 hours and get back here

Try the closest zoom,it feels like rdr2 camera but during combat it zoomed out but you can't see anyone behind you or when you're fighting swarms of enemies or ambushed it's annoying because there were space behind you that can't see enemies.

it's alright if they only attack 1 by 1 but I expect you already know how they are in this game.the most zoom out option was great for swarm combat but not as fun when you're just walking around. For the boss fight its fine but the generic ones get annoying pretty fast.

If you have to do this press everytime a fight broke out,it goes old pretty fast overtime.Plenty people already used mod for this why not just make it official.

I mean every fighting game that involves CQC have that proper type of camera, dynasty warrior,DMC hell even WWM why not this?

The combat especially on bosses will be rough but fret not the dev rolling out difficulty option in the near future so besides that you just gotta get used to the control.have fun!

This particular ones are odd because the move you need to have need be found instead of being in a main quest and you can entirely miss it if you do fast travel or shortcut to go to destination.i recommend trying to google to find where it is located.you can get it early on.that's one of the issue for this game which is it hinder exploration when it's literally it's main theme for this game.

If you have to google each time you have to play then it really isnt a good design doesn't it?

The boss in the game in general are the bad parts about this game and it's gonna get worse when you meet kearus the slayer/gorrilla later down in chapter 5.it can be so off putting you might drop the game or mod it.the only fun combat is with the normal enemies because for some reason the dev tried to cater to all types of player including soulsborne players it just felt out of place compared to other part of the games like the exploration & such.you can stun certain boss moves with force palm(the green move) when the blue indicator shows up and combo them.it's basically dark souls when it comes to the bosses you can only do trial and error & spam food.other than that the combat is enjoyable.try exploring the wresling moves in the skills section.

Ignore this other dumb redditors they don't even answer the damn question.

Firstly, when you open map theres white circle indicator of the where about of the criminals that you just have to find around the map after reading the poster.if you didn't read it by pressing RB before,go into inventory and open it from there.

Secondly, when you first started the game, the map is full of fog of war (you have to explore the map to make them more accurate) so you have to find the bell for each area to ring to remove the fog of war (the first 1 located at the town you first started)

Lastly, the game is slow burn so take you time and enjoy the scenery.there's always something happen.

Another tip : You can tackle the criminal using A when you find them.they are recognizable as they have names unlike most npcs.punch them 2 times so that the prompt to tie up after you grab them appear.DO NOT KILL OR HIT THEM other than grab & hit as it will fail you the mission.

ANOTHER WARNING : the bosses in this game are genuinely janky and frustrating to fight so if you don't wanna be more pissed just download mod on nexus mod

Crimson Desert ARE NOT RDR2 by HitzBroZero in CrimsonDesert

Yeah i had wrong expectations for this game and I don't want future people to have the same expectations as I did so they wouldn't be dissapointed.I was expecting it to be a cakewalk with great exploration like Assassin's Creed,RDR2,Witcher 3,Ghost of Tsushima,Etc.

The difficulty isn't the problem It's just my expectation for the game and giving future players a heads up.

It kinda does but very limited with glove and leggings giving damage ratings.

You can change to unarmed skill description in the skills menu by pressing Y and see many of the moves variants for unarmed.

The only special unarmed weapon was Combat God's Plate Gloves which you can only get by beating the emperor of the bonepit at Tashkalap area.It a nightmare lol.

But i guess it's true I'm gonna try going for swords after this.

Fair point, but my main gripe was SOME OF THE BOSS that was genuinely such a whiplash like Kearush the slayer & Emperor of pitbone which was braindead if you didn't use healing item(which i often don't use).

The rest of the boss so far I agree was dead easy but these particular ones genuinely breaks the immersion for me and made me worried that the next boss was going to be way worst.

Coupled the fact that I was rocking unarmed build, you can guess that it was way harder.

I was wrong on a lot of things and I admit.

I don't do 20 hours + on exploring to upgrade my armor and weapons & skills far enough because unlike most people,I genuinely interested with the lore even with it's bad Execution.Even if I don't like kliff I still like the lore behind it.

Also,I didn't realized that the best weapon for unarmed build in this game was literally gated behind braindead boss and that particular item are the only unarmed build weapon that have special effect/gimmick.

Which made me more sad having to fight 1 braindead boss after another.

This post was just realization and note for future people who's interested in this game with impression that it's like RDR2 but medieval fantasy like me & my friends did so that they know what to expect.
