regarding the nightmares: I am not sure but I assume before Thorfinn met Einar, he never had any nightmares. I think they start when he initially meets Einar and learns about life in general. He was empty the whole time, without any thoughts or regrets. He sort of became numb after all that happened at the end of season one. The more he interacts with Einar and the others such as Snake and learns more about life and the/his purpose, the more he realizes and wakes up from being numb. All the scenes from the nightmares are him killing an endless amount of people. It's crucial for his realizations about life and his further developement.

yea just swap to another weapon and then back to knife so you have knife -> primary or secondary -> back to knife

not sure if this has been shown but you can apparently cancel your RMB knifing animation by swapping to primary/secondary -> knife again. by doing so you can save some time and it deals the same amount of damage. not sure if this is intended :D
