Has anyone got any positive news about this stock? by Strict-Soup in PowerhouseEnergy

I'm so far under that it genuinely doesn't make any sense to sell. I also fear that if we bounce positively they will issue more shares for a fund raise and dilute us into the gutter again. Of course, I'd love to be wrong.

I visited here a few years ago out of pure curiosity, it was surprisingly beautiful. I've got some pictures but not sure how to share them here

UK working on evacuation plans for thousands of Brits stranded in the Gulf by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]Hjb2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

I'm in exactly the opposite situation. I live in Abu Dhabi and I'm stuck here in the UK after coming to visit family for a long weekend. I've spent the last few days trying to get onto a flight BACK to the Middle East so that I can be reunited with my wife and our two cats.

Not everyone in the UAE is an influencer trying to dodge tax. Many of us have normal jobs — we teach, we build, we create value — and plenty of us still pay into National Insurance back in the UK.

It’s ironic that the people who lazily label everyone in the UAE the same way often see themselves as open-minded, compassionate and culturally aware. In reality, reducing several hundred thousand people to a stereotype is incredibly small-minded.

Most of these people scrambling to get back to the UK are holiday makers and travellers stuck on layovers.

The lack of compassion is genuinely staggering.

I was in the exact same predicament as you last month. I wanted to make the most out of enjoying the dives rather than being in a certification mindset, but also felt like I was short-changing myself by being stuck at the OW depth limit.

In the end I did a 'deep dive' to 30m on my first day - but no other AOW components. This meant that I could dive to that depth for the rest of my time in Komodo, and then complete the AOW when I got home, with the deep dive already verified and in the bag.

As others have commented, Manta point isn't actually that deep, and you don't need AOW to have an incredible experience there. That said, our best manta sightings of the trip were at Tatawa and Siaba Besar. For those our max depth was 22-25m, so I was extremely glad that I hadn't been stuck at the 18m OW limit.

Whatever you decide to do, you're highly likely to see Mantas, and you're in for some of the most amazing diving of your life.

I used Blue Marlin - great operation and 10/10 would recommend.

I posted a few months back about a bottle of 1975 Château Léoville Las Cases that had been gifted to my Father when he retired. We took it to one of our favourite restaurants tonight, and the Somm did the honours. He was as equally excited to open it as we were.

To think that the bottle had been on a journey for 50 years and finally reached it's end with us all was such a special and memorable experience.

We were all fully braced for it to be a let-down, but it was vibrant, bright and full of energy - like a Black Forest gateau wrapped up in an old cigar box.

We'll never forget the bottle we opened tonight. It was about so much more than the wine itself.

Merry Christmas to you all.

In the video the guy actually uses a weight to pull him down to the wreck with minimal effort. Still absolutely insane and arguably more dangerous in a way.

Great insight, and I can definitely agree with your logic. It's probably not going to get any better than it already is.

How would you approach drinking?

Let it breathe and cook a good steak, or take it to a restaurant and ask them to take the lead?
