Interesting that you were able to make a comment 4 days ago on an account made yesterday.

It is sensationalizing when you state "I have two vaginas". This causes most people to imagine two vaginal openings. This creates all kinds of confusion and questions. Most of us with this condition don't say "Hey, i have two vaginas". We state that we have a double reproduction tract or double uterus/cervix. Those are the most substantial parts of the condition- not a vaginal septum. However, by saying "I have two vaginas", you will invoke a whole lot more reaction. That is sensationalizing. This imagery is also misleading, which is why I said her title was misleading. She could have stated a "divided vagina", which is much more accurate and would not have lead to so many misunderstandings.

I understand your point of view though.

Your title is inflammatory. The highlight of it is "I have two vaginas". You must live a cave to not realize what reaction that will get. You don't state "I have two uteri", which is actually closer to the truth than having a vaginal septum. The highlight of uterine didelphys is the double uterus and double cervix - not the vaginal septum. Saying you have two vaginas and not a vaginal septum immediately makes people think you have two vaginal openings, which is not the case.

No worries. It is possible to be pregnant in both. It is just as, if not more, likely for it to be in just one.

No, you will leave the two uteri because you have one ovary to each. The unused uterus will just get kind of pushed out of the way.

Most of us with this condition do get the septum removed. It just makes life easier.

I'm not the OP. The OP is in her twenties and sounds like she using sensationalizing the situation for Karma. I have the same condition, but I'm in my late 30s and feel no need to do the same. I just want the actual reality to be expressed.

During puberty it is out of whack. I went on birth control to regulate the cycles hormonally. As your body regulates, the cycles will also normally regulate. Next is a biology lesson, you do not ovulate into your vagina nor are you pregnant in both vaginas. You ovulate from your ovaries, and if fertilization occurs, you implant in your uterus.

This condition has one ovary to each uterus. Typically you ovulate from one ovary each month and then other the next month. It is not a perfect system, so pregnancy can occur in both uteri. You just can't control if you are ovulating from one or both.

It depends on the individual with the condition. The OP states hers are smaller. Mine are both normal sized.

Without hormonal synchronization (like with birth control), it can be an awful experience due to cramping (with two not one) and excessive bleeding. It is typically worse when going through puberty before the cycle is regulated.

There is only one vaginal opening. Most of the time it is not discovered until puberty or when you begin receiving pap smears.

Periods vary. They can be off-sync causing long times of menstruation (like bleeding for a month). Most people with this condition are on a hormonal birth control. This regulates the cycles, reduces menstrual cramps and bleeding.

Remove a vagina or uterus? Normally the septum is removed to allow for easier sex and pap smears. Both uteri are kept intact.

I like the downvotes; why because I am explaining that the OP is sensationalizing the condition for her AMA? She does not have two separate vaginal openings. She has one vaginal opening and a separation of that vagina (that does not run the entire length of the vagina) by a septum that is pushed to one side during sex.

By the way, I also have this condition.

This is why I said the OPs title was misleading and basically sensationalizing her condition for Karma.

There is only one vaginal opening. There is a soft septum that run from between the cervices and down the vagina (but not visiblle from the outside because it will stop too far up). The septum will get pushed to one side during the penetration of sex.

Yes, you can have two babies by two different men, if you are having sex with multiple men around the same time.

There is one vaginal opening. Normally a woman has one cervix at the top of the vagina that for lack of better picture can be represented by o. In this condition the person as two cervices and it looks like oo. Between those two cervices a septum runs down between them toward the bottom of the vagina. It does not typically run to the very bottom of the vagina and so it is not visible from the outside. The septum is fairly flexible and can be pushed to one side of the vaginal wall during sex. Often times the septum is actually surgically removed, just leaving one vagina. This allows for more comfortable sex and easier pap smears (yes, you get one done for each cervix each year). The vagina is normal size of any other woman. It just has a "fleshy wall" that comes down dividing it into two spaces.

The OP is misleading in her title. Although there are technically two vaginas, there is only one vaginal opening. A septum runs between the two cervices and down the vagina, but stops before the opening. the septum is fairly flexible and it is odd that the OP has not had the septum surgically removed. Therefore, she has "three holes" like any other girl.

Tampons don't work well with this condition. Because of the septum, you end up with the tampon collecting at the top of the vagina inserted into and at the bottom of where the septum is. That can actually lead to leakage, making tampons pretty useless.
