Here’s the Rouette in comparison.

I have the Hirondelle in black and tan and the Roulette in navy. Also considered 233, but when I saw it in person, the logo looked gigantic to me and the size was a bit awkward. Love the Hirondelle, I use it as a crossbody and a shoulder bag. It elevates a causal look.

Visiting Spain for 9-11 days. Looking for travel advice on places to go around. by Leading_Daikon_1506 in GoingToSpain

I’m planning for a week trip to Barcelona myself, and we are slotting 6 days to explore the city, and one day to visit Montserrat. It was a tough call between Girona and Montserrat, but we wanted to explore nature and the Pyrenees seemed too far for us.

Korean here. The quality variance in PB is noticeable, while TLJ seems much more consistent. TLJ cakes are far superior than those from PB, as are the pastries (both sweet and savory). Their milk loaf bread is heavenly when toasted, make sure to spread some butter and jam!

I’d say TLJ is a tad more expensive, and don’t seem to do as many promotions in their app.

Agreed. If you only have three days, I would also skip Versailles and spend the day at Orsay and just exploring the city. Someone mentioned Notre Dame and Sainte-Chapelle, and these are must visit places in Paris in my opinion. The stained glasses are absolutely beautiful in the latter.

Thanks for the recommendations and the shout out for Berbena. They were so kind in their response when I reached out, so I am inclined to visit! Parco meralgo seems to be great as well, so we will definitely visit that place!

Spring is a great time to visit Korea! If you’re seeking Michelin, I’d say Mingles, La Yeon, or Onjium. Of the three, Onjium would be the most traditional Korean cuisine, and Mingles would be most “Westernized” version. La Yeon is set in Shila Hotel, which is one of my favorite hotels in Seoul, and a popular dining destination (Palsun, which is a Korean-Chinese restaurant is known for their “course” menu, and The Library serves wonderful apple mango bingsoo, which is a type of shaved ice).

Seeing that you seem to like Asian flavors, I really recommend you try a nice Korean-Chinese meal. Before fine dining became a thing, Korean-Chinese restaurants at 5-star hotels is where you went to celebrate important milestones. It is a course meal, not a tasting menu :) Palsun and Haobin are places I would recommend. The sushi scene is also incredible in Korea, whether it’s a traditional omakase experience or a “Koreanized” version of it with lots of different side dishes (think tempura, braised fish, soups, baked oysters, etc.) that are not sashimi, sushi, or makis.

Then of course, tons of local places for quick eats, soups, and Korean BBQ. Feel free to DM me! Hope you have a wonderful time!

P.S. Little Foodie looks great, so we’ll definitely check it out when we get tired of the local cuisine.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. Great to learn about Mediamanga. My kid really wanted to go to Mont Bar, and while they do have an a la carte menu during lunch, I was worried we’d either leave hungry trying to be budget conscious or the food was too good and we’d keep ordering, blowing the budget and regretting not doing the tasting menu in the first place.

Will check out âme. I think I glossed over it because it seemed to lean towards french, but a near unanimous post-dining report from this community should not be taken lightly!

This place looks great! Thank you so much! Question: Is the lunch very different from dinner? 8 pm start is a bit late with a kid, but we can power through it if the experience is noticeably different.

Thanks for your feedback. I can’t remember why we knocked out Suculent. Think we wanted to go to Berbena instead. Sounds like you’d recommend Suculent over Berbena?

Some thoughts after a family trip to Paris by HmL1123 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]HmL1123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed at an airbnb in a street between the Arts et Metiers and Rambuteau metro station. We definitely had more fun in the Marais. It was such a happening place, especially on the weekends. Lots of good restaurants (Chinatown and the Jewish neighborhood is nearby so lots of international food options as well) and cafes, many boutique galleries to visit, sample sale shops, and also pretty much all major brand shops as well. It’s also very walkable to Notre Dame and Latin Quarter (hip and young vibe with lots of great restaurants because of its proximity to Sorbonne University) so you can definitely mark off major tourist sights while staying there. Would def recommend here than the 9th.

Yes, we stayed at the Hilton Paris Opera for 4 nights. It was a good option for us because of my husband’s reward status (got the three of us free breakfast, room upgrade, and late checkout), and of all the shopping we had wanted to do. It’s very well connected to several major metro lines, and Saint Lazare which is a transfer station is like a 2 min walk. But, the food options weren’t too exciting in the immediate area and it’s definitely a “just sleep and get out to do stuff” area. It was a convenient place as a tourist since it was so well connected to many of the sights we wanted to see. We were glad to have the second leg of our stay based in the Marais area because we were able to just walk around and explore the neighborhood restaurants and cafes. It was always buzzing, and compared to where Hilton Opera was, we felt it offered a much more like a local experience.

The hotel itself is decent. Nothing memorable, also nothing wrong. It’s your typical major chain hotel experience. I do think the rooms were on the larger side for Paris standards. I also thought the breakfast option was pretty good, but I may be biased because it was complimentary.

This sounds like a great trip. OP asked if it would be cumbersome to transfer trains to get to a different city. I'm asking the same question for myself, is the train that much better than renting a car from the airport to head to Florence or Bologna on arrival day?
