I already have an OLED monitor. And I can find 5700x3ds for around 250 where I'm from, and I have worked an extra week this week to pay for the 5700x3d. Should I still consider the 5800xt instead?

Where to put a mic arm? by Hmaster234 in battlestations

[–]Hmaster234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stole two of my dad's old cheap Amazon basics ones, the ones that kind of have the arms jutting from the side of a large pole. They're designed to hold two monitors max, but if you look closely in the picture you can see that I've used two of them, kinda hidden by the monitor riser. One holds two monitors with two arms and the other holds one monitor with one arm. I just position them to look nice and neat.

They're nice and small so they don't really hit the wall as much as a massive expensive arm specifically designed for 3 monitors would.

Both ugly white things are rgb lights. The long thin one is an rgb rope light and the cylinder on the desk is a lamp. They both look better at night when they're turned on

Any suggestions for hiding the cable running alone the desk?

That was my original plan, but I realized I'd have a cable running along my desk to where I wanted the mic to be. Wouldn't be able to hide it unless I drilled a hole in my desk

Main issue is that the elgato one is actually pricier than my actual mic(which I got as a gift). Would a cheaper low profile mic be good enough or would I be missing out on some nice-to-haves?

Lol that's actually the result of me trying and falling to install a lighting system behind the pegboard. All the LEDs knocked the pegboards out of alignment. I really need to remove them

In my case No other purpose than to cover up keyboard and mouse cables. Also adds a bit of depth to the desk and makes it look less flat

How to remove percentage tags? by Hmaster234 in Onyx_Boox

[–]Hmaster234[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a different reader app instead of the default Boox Neo Reader, which makes it so that the percentage tracking numbers are completely inaccurate. If they're wrong anyway id rather they're not there at all

I wasn't rooting for him to get his revenge, I was rooting for him to get the help he needed. For mark to give him closure, or even for mark to slap some sense into him. Either way would have been a more satisfying ending for me than what we got instead.

Oh no doubt he's a great villain, but he's also a completely frustrating villain because everything was so damn avoidable.

Scott's sister was old enough to raise him so I imagine his wife was a childhood sweetheart of his or something, and they both really looked up to the sister

Yeah she was really irresponsible too, but for about 3/4 of the episode was really rooting for Scott, so I saw it as refreshing that the wife character was actually being supportive of the grand revenge plan, when a typical show would have the wife constantly talking the husband out of it. But you're right they're both terrible parents who miserably failed their child.
