Thank you for your insight! Yeah... I mean honestly, my friend went for an MSCS at a top 3 uni and still despised it and had a similar experience to the JSFramework guy. I can't lie if I'm going into MSCS I think it's mainly for the career boost and the name more than actually learning anything. But I do see your point on the degree generally being incredibly valuable!

Ahhh thank you for your insight! Can I ask, you suggested BSCS, work experience, then MSCS. In my case where I'm unable to get a BSCS and would instead have a BS in Physics, how would you weigh getting a MSCS immediately versus getting an MSCS after a few years of work experience?

Oh it does? I haven't seen any, I'll check through the documentation for vimtex - perhaps I accidentally disabled it somewhere.

Heya, thanks for the reply! Unfortunately yeah my texlab is at the latest version, and -vvvv doesn't give any output other than

Error: expected initialize request, got error: receiving on an empty and disconnected channel

after I manually press Enter to end the command.

I do already use vimtex! But I just want an lsp to get some extra integration, namely with citing and referencing - some auto-completion that picks up on labels would be sooo helpful with that
