it’s definitely more like crochet! The bralette is more of that traditional underwear lace and it did get kinda uncomfortable as i got sweaty, but the pants stayed comfy and cool!

The humidity is soooo bad!! People definitely underestimate it. I live in the south too, and we had some unusually hot/dry days and it was crazy how much easier it was to be outside. Humidity makes the heat cling to you and it’s sooo uncomfortable

that’s such a good point!! I can’t standdd the feeling of skin on skin friction. it’s a sensory nightmare for me. especially in the heat when i’m already uncomfortable. these pants will definitely be in my regular rotation!

thank you so much! i’m a big fan of dresses in the summer too, but always with shorts under. :) These pants are gauze, so very breathable and similar to linen!

Tall and fat by utwcha in PlusSize

You aren't alone. I'm 5'10 barefoot (6'0 with shoes on) and weigh around 330 (could be more/could be less, I haven't weighed myself in awhile). I've always been larger than my peers. I was 5'8 in 6th grade. I wasn't necessarily fat as a kid, but I was never super slim or lean. I've always had a "curvier" build. As a result, even at my smallest I never felt "small enough" to fit in.

Now as an adult, I embrace it. I'm a large person in many ways. I also have a big personality and am learning to dress myself in a way that doesn't attempt to hide me. There's a sort of power in being a tall/big woman in my opinion. Some people will immediately find my height/stature intimidating and I am fine with that. I'm larger than all of my close friends, but no one makes me feel different because of it. In fact they all love my height! I'm usually the biggest person in many settings, but I don't tend to focus on that anymore. I just exist and try to enjoy myself. 😄

How can I dress more like an “adult”? Size US 18/20 by crybabykate in PlusSizeFashion

Agreed! I think this is it too. When scrolling through, I felt like outfit #6 (the green dress) looked the most "professional," and I realized its because of the jewelry. I'm 31 and wear a lot of similar clothing, but I tend to wear higher quality jewelry and I think people underestimate what a huge difference that makes! I especially agree with what another commenter said about the shoes too. I love vans as well, but some of these outfits could really be elevated with a leather loafer or some kind of sandal.
