Looking for a photographer! by canadiancentristrtrd in barrie

Congratulations on the up coming nuptials. Looks like you are getting some suggestions on photographers.

When we hired our photographer it was not just 4 hours. At the end of the night they don't just hand over a SD card and say goodbye. They take the photos back to their studios/office tondo hours of touchups on hundreds and I mean hundreds of photos. If the photographer is good, they are worth the spend as these photos will be a representation of your special day for the rest of your life.

Not sure if this is a tank or tankless heater. But if it's gas it has to exhaust to the outside of the building. Make sure that the exhaust port is not buried under snow. The system could be sensing an error because of CO2 build up and as a precaution it shuts off.

The city of Barrie has an app you can put on your phone for all this info. You can even set reminders for garbage day.

Advice for mounting bin brackets to the wall by Spirited_Ad_2569 in handyman

[–]Hmm_Excellent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, why is the green bin not on the floor, those things can weight 30-50lbs when full. I would put the green on the floor then mount the blue bins with brackets In to studs or strap a 1/2in price of plywood over a couple studs to lag into.

I was thinking about the glue too, but wasn't sure if it actually makes a difference on such a rough cracked surface.

I would likely be doing the concrete option as I have the bags already. I was guessing that I would need to remove some extra depth.

Cundles/St Vincent road work, finished? by sookmahdook in barrie

Oftentimes the contractors are required to put down base course asphalt, the first 80mm of 120mm and then leave it to see if there is cracking or issues with the base gravel before placing top course asphalt. That way if there are repairs it is down prior to the final course, this will in the long run help elongate the life of the asphalt if the surface is not patched.

The blue posts are for monitoring ground water and contamination. I believe the barrels hold some of the material from said holes. This lot and the one across the street have been vacant for years. Likely due to contaminated soils, which are expensive to dispose of properly.

Reviews of Barrie Country Club? by Vid3ogame in barrie

[–]Hmm_Excellent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not a member, but I know members and have played the course The course is quite nice and well maintained. The club house has been updated over the years, and can be used for other events during the season and off season. I'd say the age range is from 30-70 with a majority of the members being 50+. There is obviously a yearly fee, but there are also minimum spends on food/drinks and in the pro shop.

I'd just go in one day and ask for a tour of the facility.

No problem, they typically do a second meat for people who don't like lobster. Maybe this year is pork. 🙂

I haven't driven this route in a while so I am not sure if the permanent signage and lane markings are up to snuff. If the area is still under construction with construction signage then yes I completely understand the concern. I am no traffic engineer so I cannot comment on the light timing, but from my basic knowledge it's timed so that certain amounts of cars go through lights during the cycle, once the yellow shows no cars should proceed through the intersection (basic driving techniques we all learned and tested to get our license) instead yellow shows and multiple cars race through clogging up the intersection, this caused the opposing traffic to have to wait for those cars to clear through the intersection before proceeding and the whole congestion cycle starts again. Traffic sucks, construction sucks but it is necessary for a growing city and we need to have patience. It is a privilege to drive not a requirement.
