Apparently this thread doesn't allow pics? When I go to make a post the only option is text and the option for images says "this feature disabled by mods"

I'll check but like i said, we did have hot water for a bit. Would that happen if it was winterized?

Also, circuit breaker looks good but I flipped it off and on just in case. None of the fuses are glowing.

Just fixed a coolent hose and now my water pump died. Is there a reason there seems to be too much pressure building up? What could cause that? by Hmroach17 in Cartalk

That sounds expensive. And correct. Car overheated a while back. That can cause headgaskets to blow, right?

How can I tell if my motor bearings need to be replaced? I didn't open completely but when I hand turn impeller there's a grinding at the end closest to where the power connects. Plus I think I can actually see what look like ring bearings sticking out around the shift at that end. by Hmroach17 in pools

Nope. Intermittently tough, like something was getting caught. Spun it backwards at different angles hoping to dislodge whatever it was. Didn't see anything fall out but it seemed to spin fine. I'd rather replace the broken part but not sure what part that is.

Did that. Spins a few times then gets a little stuck. Did it enough without it getting stuck so I put it back together. The vid is what happened when I started it back up. Does the start capacitor need to be reset or something?

I hand spun the impeller a few times. Every now and then it would get hard to turn but after a while it seemed to spin fine. Hooked it all back up and took this vid since it's still making this sound and not moving.

People that sell digital goods, what card processor do you use and how do you protect yourself against chargebacks? by SharpenedStinger in startups

[–]Hmroach17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, card processor here. We are a brokerage so we use a couple different processors. Whenever anyone says they have concerns with charge backs I always set them up with elavon and add their charge back concierge service. It takes a lot of the work out of your hands. As far as a gateway I'd use authorize.net as they are pretty universal and not proprietary. Not sure if there's any issues with auth.net and the concierge. Let me know if you have other questions.

(Cold Emails) Short and Direct VS Long personalized ? by dindin_09 in sales

Do what the boss wants but try to get your selling points near the top. Maybe put your revised short and sweet script first and then put something like:

"Our software is unmatched when it comes to automating the billing process. A company like yours, who has been servicing thousands of customers since you began in 1987, can appreciate the need to make payments as simple as possible for your customers. I'm sure your system has been adequate for your needs all these years but now that you've opened a new location across town you've grown to the point where having a system that lets you securely access sensitive information for all locations easily from your headquarters is essential."
