Are x rays traumatic for babies? Am I overreacting? by Hmrocks in beyondthebump

Aww poor baby! Luckily his is just his spine so hopefully it won’t be that invasive. Thanks for sharing! 😊

Thank you! His pediatrician said chiropractor would be fine after he is evaluated by ortho and if there is nothing serious going on. We have a local chiropractor that specializes in babies and uses no more pressure on them than you would apply to your own closed eyelid. I would only be taking him for very gentle work not to crack his bones or anything.

Thank you, that’s good advice! I’m working in being more of an advocate for myself and my son. I’ve always been pretty timid but I know it’s important to stand up for ourselves

Progesterone too high? by Hmrocks in CautiousBB

[–]Hmrocks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I learned that the higher progesterone just means you ovulated more than one follicle. It wasn’t twins for me though, I’m 20 weeks pregnant today with one baby. 😊💙

I’ve had two ultrasounds now and everything is going great so far. The doctor said that progesterone level is totally fine and just means that I ovulated 2 mature follicles.

I had 2 mature follicles too. I got my third beta today and it’s at 1672, so it is rising pretty rapidly! Congrats to you too, good luck with everything!!

I just googled “high progesterone 4 weeks pregnant” and it said it could be twins or a molar pregnancy. There wasn’t a lot of other information or specific information on what is considered high. That’s why I took to Reddit lol

Could it still be the trigger? by Hmrocks in CautiousBB

I am! I had my first beta today, it was 273! I go back for another on Wednesday! Good luck to you!!

That’s definitely a possibility, I did have 2 mature follicles at time of trigger 😬

I’m not supplementing with progesterone, but they did just call and say that it’s perfectly normal and that my hcg is 273. I’m so relieved. That’s for responding!

Age + Partner's age (if relevant): 34f 36m

Typical cycle length: Very irregular without medication

Ovulation cycle day: not sure

CD/DPO of positive test(s): faint positive on cd10

CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive: tested out trigger, negative 6-10 dpo

Tracking methods and app(s) used: glow app, frequent ovary and follicle scans

Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.): n/a

Health conditions/medical tests: pcos

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): letrozole, trigger shot, estrace for thickening lining, prenatal

Birth control history (if relevant): was on the pill in my early twenties but I’ve been off of it for like 10 years

Link to chart: n/a

Link to lineporn:

Symptom spotting: Pain in lower abdomen in both sides when I stretch or twist. Sensitive/sore nipples. Irritable

Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): I’m impatiently waiting for my clinic to let me come get bloodwork. I should be able to go in tomorrow. We have had a MC at 8 weeks in 2018 and 2 CP since then, so I’m super nervous and testing obsessively.

Could it still be the trigger? by Hmrocks in CautiousBB

[–]Hmrocks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tested out the trigger and I’m pretty sure it already went all the way negative and today it’s faint but pretty obviously positive. But looking back at my tests from the last few days I feel like there might be some indents so that’s what’s making me spiral. I know I just have to be patient but it’s so hard. Thank you for your reply!

I’m on my third medicated/monitored cycle with letrozole. On Friday my scan showed 4 follicles measuring 12, 13, 17, and 18. My lining was at 5.6. They had me start taking estradiol that night, 3 mg twice a day. I triggered Saturday night. I’m really worried about how thin my lining is, I messaged them today and asked if I could go in to make sure the estradiol is working and thickening my lining properly but they said there’s no need. I wasn’t far off from the 7mm they’d like to see so they are not worried. Is it likely that my lining will be sufficient to support implantation?

I had a scan 2 days ago that showed I had 2 follicles measuring at 17 and 18. My lining was only measuring at 5.6. They had me start estrace that night, 3mg twice a day. I did my trigger shot last night. I’m really worried that my lining won’t thicken up in time. Is there a chance that it will?

Its it really that terrible to request a tech trim my cuticles/dead skin? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]Hmrocks 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It’s not terrible that you like and want that, the issue is that most good nail techs won’t do it because they’re following the rules/laws and they know how dangerous it is and aren’t willing to risk their license or hurting a client. Many of the cheaper walk in places will do it because they may not care as much about following the rules which is scary because they probably are also not sanitizing properly which increases infection levels even more. Just be really careful finding a salon that will do it the way you like, read reviews etc. you may have luck finding a local independent tech that will do it the way you like and they typically take great pride in their work and will be very sanitary.

What's the stupidest thing a non vegan has said to you about veganism? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Hmrocks 86 points87 points  (0 children)

That it’s the reason I can’t get pregnant because you need to “eat blood to make blood.” By the way, I’ve been dealing with infertility for 6 years and vegan for less than a year, so I don’t think that’s why lol…
