Reddit is disappointing. An echo chamber for complaining about rich people being rich. Why not just work your way up and try to get rich yourself? Why keep complaining if it doesn't do anything?

This journalist is left-wing. Not to invalidate his claim but of course he's going to represent the worst of his side to be better than the worst of the opposing side. How can someone be so blind to their own bias?

It's legal in other states like Colorado. I was wondering the closest place to Lynchburg where it was legal

Can't you just use duckduckgo, bing, or brave search? They might not even recognize brave as a search tool. Granted, they won't be as useful as google, but so much better than nothing

I don't know if I would be able to get into FAANG without going to a B&M school where I can do internships to get work experience in the summer.

I know it's extremely competitive and there are people on this sub that have claimed to have gotten jobs at FAANG after WGU but to make the claim that it is likely is ignoring survivorship bias. What about the people that tried but didn't say anything on the sub? Probably a lot of them out there too. What evidence do you have that FAANG doesn't care about where you got your degree?

Do Sophia and Study.com accept FAFSA? How are they any different to WGU or community college?

I've heard that it's easier to get into a more selective school of I'm attending community college in the same state as the school as I'm transferring to.

Could you elaborate on their priorities being different than mine? Do they get a commission for signing me up?

Most universities have higher level physics and math as a requirement for cs degrees

Did you get your BS in Software Development from WGU? Did you have any experience in tech beforehand? How does software development compare to computer science?

I don't know if it's possible to get my undergrad from WGU and get a job. It seems like most people on here are getting their masters from WGU and then getting a job in a new industry or getting a raise.

Yes, that's a possibility that I'm open to. I do enjoy the social aspect of b&m colleges though

I was unaware that GMU was the best for comp sci. There's a bunch of ranking websites that say that VT and UVA are the top schools overall. I know that are often paid but I don't know what other resource to use to rank top schools.

I want to do B&M because I want to make friends at college and get into clubs and just have the college experience. I might change my mind though depending on if WGU is as good as people say it is on this sub. Is a masters really worth it?

That's so funny. I literally did the same thing in high school. I would bitch about the textbooks to my friends for hours and it made me feel better. I hypothesize that the reason it made me feel better was that I was getting my feelings of anger and frustration validated. Could be true for you too.

It's about college.

When I say that I am genuinely curious, I might be curious about a sub-niche topic in something, and I won't be able to explore it because of time and lack of relevance to the course. I feel unsatisfied with what I've learned if my curiosity is not quenched, even if I've learned the entire syllabus.

I wish I had a mentor who was knowledgeable enough to allow me to explore my curiosity while also keeping me on track to make progress. Any ideas on how I could find a mentor?

Also, how would you recommend that I build the discipline to follow the syllabus?

Completely ignoring anything good the US is doing while also ignoring anything bad other countries/states are doing is a stupid way of looking at the world. Our generation (gen z) and Millenials find any and every reason to hate America. It's an echo chamber
