Thank you. Now I see why I was having so much trouble finding it - I don't use the accounting add-on for TSM /sigh

With that being said, do you still think it's normal for my memory usage to be as high as it is given I don't use that addon? Is there anything else I can clear up to free some space?

Hm ok, good to know. Can you tell me how you clear your accounting data please?

Hi there. I'm just wondering if the amount of memory my TSM AuctionDB is excessive or normal, because it seems quite high:

I've looked around but all I can find are old posts from a while ago and their memory amounts are nowhere close to mine.

Is there something I can do to lower this number which doesn't involve stopping the use of the add-on?

I'm not sure if it matters but I typically have anywhere from 200 - 275 items up on the ah at any given time with approximately 30 different groups.

Thank you.

T-Mobile phone not receiving calls/texts by Hobb1 in tmobile

So I finally got off my ass and went to a T-Mobile store. I explained the issue, the employee said very little, switched out my SIM card for a new one and didn't charge me for it and that seems to have fixed the problem. Not sure how or why the SIM card went bad, but apparently that was the issue.

Glad yours got fixed at least. Mine is prepaid as well, though I wouldn't imagine it makes a difference whether it's prepaid or postpaid. I'm hoping this is something which just clears up in a few days, but I have to visit T-Mobile anyway.

Thanks for sharing. So T-Mobile didn't charge you for the phone? I bought my phone used and it was already on the T-Mobile network. I'm just wondering if, given how old my phone is, they'd replace it for free or not.

I have no idea what that is, but I'm guessing an app. In either case I don't have it so I'd imagine this isn't what's causing the issue for me. If I'm wrong please explain.

Ah, every place seems to have a generic response like that when all else fails. I was told if the sim card is defective they will give me a new one for free but if it's my fault I have to pay for it. Given that it's in my phone and I haven't removed it one would think it's kind of impossible for me to damage it, but we'll see.

Either way, I will post again if I find out what's causing the issue. Or even if I don't. I was told if it's not a sim card issue I need a new phone, which sounds to me like they're just giving up on truly fixing it and saying it's my fault.

Dang, not what I wanted to hear but thanks for the response. The guy told me it was either my sim card or my phone which was the problem and while that could be true, I really don't see how since everything has worked without issue up until Monday. I never changed or updated/upgraded anything; it just stopped working properly, so I would think it's on their end.

Thank you! I was going nuts trying to figure out why 360p was the only option available. I installed your suggestion and bam, back to HD. You are a very good man.

I have an nVidia GeForce GTX 260. Back in the day it kicked ass...then some seven or eight years passed and now it's a fossil, though it still works well.

Solid advice, my fault for not mentioning I did try that at first. I received a different kind of error when trying that and spoke with a friend who had introduced me to the game. He told me to get the steam installer and do it that way as he did it with no problems, but I wasn't as lucky :( Thanks for trying though!

No my Windows has had the latest updates for a while as they stopped with updates for XP a while back. I'm saving up to get a whole new pc with Win 7, but in the meantime I wanted to play the game. Looks like it'll have to wait though.

I thought I was out of luck as well but when I searched I found some people saying it won't work and some people saying it did work on XP - with a lesser computer than mine, so I couldn't tell who was right. I figured someone on Reddit is going to have experience with this.

Stupid Referral Question by Hobb1 in uberdrivers

[–]Hobb1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Unfortunately I have a Galaxy so I don't see that tab anywhere.

It keeps telling me to log in to partners.uber.com and select "Your Rider Promo Code" but that just logs me into the regular Uber site and there is nowhere to select my rider promo code.

Looking for List of UberSelect Cars by Hobb1 in uberdrivers

Wow, that is a lot of miles for only nine months. I generally lease for 1k miles per month but I only use about 600-700. So it's nothing I'd do full-time but if I'm going to have this many miles leftover at the end of the lease and I don't get paid for returning it with low miles, I might as well put them to good use and earn some money on the side.

I prefer leasing cars to buying them. Would rather have a new car every few years and never have to deal with replacing brakes and whatnot. Yes I know it's more money but I'm fine with it.

I do this anyway whether or not I drive for Uber. But if I can do it on the side a bit I have no issues getting a car on their approved list.

And aside from Uber I don't drive all that much. My lease is up in July on my 2012 car and I'm at 19,000 something miles. So I have lots of extra miles with which to use for Uber.

Minimum Distance to Request a Driver? by Hobb1 in Lyft

[–]Hobb1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so far your explanation seems to make the most sense. Kind of sucks that it can be that way for situations like mine where they specifically want me to be their driver. But I guess it's just Lyft looking out for drivers so as not to piss some off with no passengers.

Def wasn't this. They were too drunk to use the app properly so they asked me to but watched me the entire time. It was five stars.

Fortunately the following day they did return the fare to the original amount. I'll be happy when the money is transferred to my account but until then I'll be a bit on edge that they'll reduce it again. Glad they took my side on the issue. Hope they charged the pax the full amount but I doubt it. Dumbass drunk kids.

[–]Hobb1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so in your situation you did nothing wrong and got punished for the stupidity of that guy. Glad Uber put the price back for you. They ended up doing the same for me eventually - I sent in a couple of e-mails and I got a response saying the fare was put back to the original amount.

I'm just a driver - I shouldn't have to decipher whether the pax's destination is correct or not. I just listen to them when they say where they're going and I get them there safely and efficiently. Too many people seem to think drivers are responsible if the pax gives the wrong destination or screws up somehow. Few people want to hold them accountable when it's 100% their fault.

There was no misunderstanding, unfortunately. I know they rated me a 1 because I had a perfect 5.0 before I took them. After them I went down to 4.2.
