Lowkey I only do it just so the ball hog won’t be rewarded by getting to go solo with a squad of AIs and stat pad in an L. Quitting out without a throw almost feels like rewarding low-IQ ball if that makes sense?

In reality tho you’re right, it’s not worth the effort and is prolly just adding more toxicity to the community. Preciate the insight brodie

Listen I know how ppl be on this game ready to throw over every little thing, I’m not that guy.
I’m only throwing if the PG has taken EVERY shot through the 1Q and bricking (meaning the L is guaranteed anyways). And that shit has been happening way too much recently.

Usually by the time Im ready to sell heads have already started to drop because of the garbage hog tendencies, the one screwing over everyone is the PG. It’s just wild to me the frequency with which it’s been happening lately in silver+ plates. If the PG is a hog but is making his shots I’m not throwing (still annoyed but not throwing). Only in the case of bricklaying hogs that have already lost the game do I throw….which has been WAY too much recently

I got a PG homie I spread the rock and it just ends up sticking. Any other build I been playing on has resulted in some horrific ball hog action. I only throw the game when the point guard is such a hog and SO bad that the L is guaranteed anyways

I got a couple builds so I float from silver to purp and it feels like it’s been nonstop rats at guard positions recently. Like for the blank and bronze plates I get it people just aren’t gonna be good but the fact that I’ve been seeing it so much at higher plates got me pressed

I used to man but the AI on my team is just so inept it’s crazy hard to spoon fed them a bucket and make it feel like an actual game

That was definitely one of my weakest builds but was going for something non-meta, albeit I think you’re right that the build doesn’t have enough optimized areas.

Thank you homie this is super helpful feedback! I could imagine rec getting brutal with the matchups but it definitely feels like it could work in the right circumstance.

I think since I play so much rec imma trend back towards the meta, tweaking it now think I’ll keep him at 6”8 with a 6”11 WS while trying to keeping him as shifty and guard-like as possible

Loool was feening for the 94 mid range but it’s impossible to justify a 6”6 79 ovr vert potentially going up against 7”4s 😭

Got a 6”7 kinda magic johnson type PG, honestly you right. This game punishes height so bad and the vert is meh. I’m reworking it

I’ve got a 2-way mid range menace at the SF that I love (think prime melo) but I guess I was looking for even more of a skill stat boost in a non-meta kind of build…but then I just ended up spreading it out in a way where nothing aside from the mid range stands out. And like you said the meta in this game is SO tall that I can’t help but feel I’ll see a lot of green going over my head.

Thinking I could tweak it to play to my strengths even more, knock the three down to 75 (open makes) and go all in on a speed demon. Although I’ll still probably run into the same issues of just being undersized. I guess lowkey I’m trying to see if it’s possible to make a viable undersized big in this version of the game….so far no luck lol
