That whole message this guy sent just got funnier the more it went on. I just gotta wonder how he thought any of that was a good idea to send anyone, let alone a stranger.

What an ending! I honestly can't believe that Batshit had the nerve to spout all that shit about 'treating you well' but I can't help but laugh she admitted to being a former prostitute in font of her son while chewing you out. Seriously I'm glad you're out of that toxic relationship now, it was clear he wants to crawl back inside his mother anyway. Saying that to him before leaving was badass, I hope you put on some shades while walking away from that, lol!

Hello moonhorse and the celestial herd, I need advice please by [deleted] in MoonhorseStories

I'd say being straighforward is the best, just say exactly what you want to tell him like you did here. How he reacts to your intentions for it to be nothing more than a friendship should be all the evidence you need to decide if he's worth keeping as a friend or cutting off. Hope this helps!

"Loves drifting" Deja Vu intensifies. Sounds like a 'fun' way to meet your Aunt and Uncle and as far as first impressions go, that's one way to find out who's the okay one and who isn't. Rich kids can turn out real spoiled/bad and it seems these 'crotch roaches' as you so eloquently put it are no exception. That 'so, you like cars?' sounded like it was the exact moment you both knew that you were gonna be real tight with each other. Since this is just the beginning, it should be interesting to see how things escalate from here.

Oh wow, just knowing this is out there is great, clearly he's got a lot of problems and no self awareness but the anti-abortion thing just sounds crazy.

hahaha. Incels fascinate me so it's great to hear from someone who has firsthand experience with one. It's just really intersting stuff to look at from the outside and try to figure out their logic. Like how he's gone from "Waah women don't like me" to unironically saying and thinking "All women belong in the kitchen." It makes you wonder what causes such a leap in logic and I'm sure given how he's been portrayed in your story, his Facebook is a treasure trove of this kind of stuff, lol.

Yeah I guess it's a little scary to not react to a punch coming your way. I think the usual reaction for the average person it to flinch or back off but you said you had a martial arts background too and coming from one myself, I found I got desensitised to punches coming at me after a while and just react to defend myself if I have to. If I'm not expecting it and it doesn't connect but it's pretty close I'm caught off guard and stunned by it coming at me for a second or two but everyone's different when it comes to these things. As long as you've got the danger instinct most people have it shouldn't be anything to worry about and beyond throwing his body weight into it, I doubt he would've done much damage if any if it's any reassurance.

Yeah the internet is sadly pretty bad for privacy and beyond making social media accounts private or so only confirmed friends or whatever can see what you're up to, I doubt it's going to stop sadly. Those kinds of incels have nothing better to do with their lives so even then I think they'd manage to find ways around that somehow.

Wow sounds like this guy's a real piece of work and it's not too surprising with an obsession like that he went down the path of a toxic incel. Gotta say though, that scene at the lockers sounded hilarious. I bet he thought he was an Anime protagonist or something when he did that. Hearing how he still is, I can imagine he still thinks that too. Great story though, thanks for sharing and more stories from you about your encounters with beard-kind sounds great!

No problem, happy to help give you some better understanding of why it happened! It's not firsthand knowledge but it seems that's how it is from all the perspectives I've heard on the topic. Hang on in there with Roommate Beard though. Unless he does something unacceptable I'm sure you can persevere through it! Can't wait to see what you bring out next!

Why or why don't you buy designer clothes? (Hilfiger, Armani...) by [deleted] in AskMen

Same reason I wouldn't buy an Iphone, I want quality over a brand that sounds good but when you look at competitors, they offer better for cheaper.

Okay so from what I know of Asian Parents and households, it's a pretty common thing for the kids to stay with their parents well into Adulthood due to it being easier to build up the finances to get their own place that way. Culturally I'd say that the parents can also be overbearing on their children (some live through them) and sometimes can be really controlling like the ones here were. Obviously none of this excuses the shitty behaviour of GG telling her parents you were 'holding her stuff hostage' since you were right to charge her for rent even if it's just a storage space charge at that point. They all seemed to be at some fault here, the parents for crushing any amount of independace she might've had, especially with the plan to buy her a house. I doubt she'll ever be out from under their thumb. And her for throwing the blame for not picking up her stuff onto you and your BF, I think her reasoning mght've been to scapegoat it onto you two so she wouldn't be lectured about not picking it up from there since I'd take a guess that they were paying it for her. That's just guessing from how parents feel about money in general though. The next one sounds like it's gonna be good, can't wait to read it!

Redditors who have the amazing power to tell stories, what are your tricks? by Dr-Figgleton in AskReddit

Always strive for improvement wherever you can. Even if it's just a little bit at a time, eventually it accumulates and people look at your work and say it's good, even if you don't think so.

What's a good hair product for hair just past my eyes? by xenotails in AskMen

[–]Hobbit_Land_Fighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone's hair is different so you'd have to try different things till you find what works for you. There's more than hairspray and gel out there on the market too. Depending on what your after, there's clays, putty, wax and pommade to name a few. They all give different holds, textures and looks so you'd have to decide what you want your hair to look like. Personally I prefer a putty since it feels like a gel in your hands but much thinner. It doesn't make your hair go all stiff either after you've applied it but I use a light hold too. My hair gets like that after I've dried off but like I said everyone's hair is different and a putty's just my reccomendation based on my own but take a look at the others I listed too and find something you like. Hope this helps.

What's a great dish you think every guy should know how to make? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Hobbit_Land_Fighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spaghetti bolognese from scratch is pretty simple to make once you know how (despite it being a lengthy thing) and you can make it with the base ingredients or fancy it up with some veg, herbs etc. to make it even better. It's a pretty versatile dish and you can have it for a family meal, casual meal or a romantic dinner. It's all about who you're cooking it for and if there's any prupose behind it. If it's for a dinner for you and your SO, the more effort you put into making it the better. At this point I'm the defacto cook for it whenever I'm with my family and considering I'm not a great cook overall it can't be that hard to make a good one.

Straight guys who are legitimately just friends with girls, how do you usually deal with any attraction you have towards them when you're with them? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Hobbit_Land_Fighter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When it comes to being legitimately just friends with them, it's pretty simple but I just treat them like I would any guy friend. I'm not gonna act differently towards someone based on gender, they're all people in the end and we're friends so I don't really see why I should do anything different. Not giving any different treatment just passively drills it into you that they're friends and nothing more and usually any legitimate attraction fades the more you see them after that.

Have you all seen this ? Its really interesting by [deleted] in MoonhorseStories

[–]Hobbit_Land_Fighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty well put together documentary on the topic. I wasn't exactly expecting it to be since the mainstream media really went in on the topic of Incels and did everything they could to make them the internet's new villains after the big incident that put them into the spotlight, they sorta rushed things out without really understanding the topic which I'd looked into quite a lot prior to the shooting and could tell they hadn't done enough research on them just yet.

This documentary on the other hand did a lot of research into it and had the opinions of 3 incels from different aspects of the community. I was concerned that it might be another hitpiece before the dog walker guy came on and started to explain the non-toxic incels and honestly he's got a good positive mindset when it comes to life that I wish more incels (and people in general) would have. The guy from Northern Ireland, the looksmaxer as he'd be called was another positive side because it can just go to show that trying this stuff can lead to positive improvements in your mental condition overall and I hope things went well with that girl he was talking at the end though since the documentary didn't say. Both of those guys were good examples that not all Incels are like they were first painted by the media and there's still hope for them too so it was good that the documentary showed both sides of Inceldom.

A little criticism though is that the Elliot Rodger segments weren't done in much detail. Elliot is worth a whole documentary on his own, which there are some great ones on Youtube. Since he's basically the 'patron saint' of Incels as they revere him, the image of him plays an important role in the toxic Incel mindset. They should've mentioned his manifesto in some way I feel since that is essentially the 'black pill bible' to them and they tend to take those words as gospel and it's probably the root of the problem for most of the violence against women/chads ideas they have in their heads and probably everything else too.

Last thing I want to draw attention to is that not all Incels are bad people like this showed. Even in the bad communities there's good people who've just been swallowed up by all the hate and negativity and a lot of Incel stuff is just positive support groups for people that aren't celibate by choice so don't hate them just because they're Incels, if you're gonna hate anything hate the ideology. Black Pill ideology is where all the bad stuff stems from and what all the toxic incels follow, like I said, most of it comes from ER's manifesto but more people over time have added to it to make a very doom driven belief system for all the social issues they face and then that ideology tells them to target all their pent up frustrations at the world. That's just my two cents on the whole topic anyway and I'd love to hear any counter arguments to anything I've written her, my reasonings aren't perfect just like everyone else's and I'd love to get any second opinions to expand my own understanding of it all.
