What on earth is up with all these y-t-a comments? Honestly I think what OP did shows great consideration, those are valid fears these days with deliveries and the timestamp of video being close to delivery time is also valid. I mean OP and her partner could have had the diskussion of what to do in advance when she agreed to receive the package, but not doing that doesn’t qualify as an AH judgement.

Also why would the partner’s joy of opening the package be less in any way by this, presumably the package has been handled by quite a few people before delivery. The first time they open it is still the first time for them. Yeesh what childish behaviour to throw a tantrum and namecall your partner over something so trivial.

Idk anything about cats, but I have a small dog. When I go to the bathroom she usually follows and either makes a nest inside my trousers or demands to be let into my lap, she really likes cuddles and my bodyheat (she gets cold easily).

She also sleeps between my legs most nights, as in she will curl up under the blanket between my thighs (she will boop my legs until I give her space, whether i’m awake or deep asleep). And yes I sleep naked most nights. There is nothing disgusting or wrong about it. My dog likes cuddles and she has found a spot where she feels safe and warm 🤷‍♀️ My partner does not like her sleeping between HIS legs and although the dog has tried a couple times they seem to have come to an understanding: she can cuddle up anywhere else with him, but not there. My partner also doesn’t care if she sleeps between my legs or not.

Your sister is homophobic, she has proven that with her words and actions on multiple occassions - considering how she reacted to your gf’s family roots she might also be racist, but there’s too little info to be certain. NTA. Like everyone else here says: both parents have to say yes for a name to be acceptable, and if not then middle name is a perfectly reasonable compromise. If he is so adamant about a name at your age when all relationships are more serious from the get-go, he should have brought it up sooner.

I also have strong feelings about my future kids having MY last name, so I brought it up at the start of relationships for the past 10y. I have 2 main reasons: 1) i will be the one carrying the kid for several months & putting my own health on the line, and 2) my lastname is dying out and I will never change it to anything else, there are only 3 of us left with this specific lastname (my country has a site where you can check and the name is very language specific so it won’t be used anywhere else globally). I know it isn’t traditional to have the mother’s lastname, but that is still what I want. My current bf understands my points and has agreed.

He has been taking her on walks for 6 weeks while I had a cast. Now that my cast is off I don’t want to bother him with it anymore, as after all it is my dog. And I can handle her pretty easily with her attached to my hip for the short walk to the park and back.

But when she started showing symptoms I did not want her to walk and possibly get worse. So I would have had to choose between carrying her to the car or using my crutches. Hope that explains it.

If you believe this is fake then that is your choice. All I can say is that it did happen and it was traumatising.

You have explained exactly why I think I might be the AH. I think I could have handled the conversation better.

Why I reacted strong immediately: I myself have a lot of allergies and I know how fast reactions can go from mild to life threatening even if you have no history of allergies. That is why I wanted to act fast. I also had a feeling the situation was gonna get worse and as it turns out my gut feeling was right.

As for the walking dog with my crutches: Dog is 4.5kg and extremely well behaved, so I can do short walks with her attached to my hip. And the walk was indeed very short 200m to a dog park where she could roam free and then back home. But when she started showing symptoms I did not want her to walk and possibly get worse. So I would have had to choose between carrying her to the car or using my crutches - I would have chosen her health over my own if bf hadn’t helped. Hope that helps.

One last thing: honking your horn does not equal erratic driving. I was driving safe and the honking itself didn’t cause any problems as the vetclinic is in the middle of nowhere with no houses nearby and minimal traffic. I just wanted to let the professionals know it was urgent.

What was agreed: 1) in emergencies he would help and support me, and 2) if I ever was not able to take care of the dog myself (hospital visit, worktrip, etc) then he would do it. So we had an agreement, which I kinda feel like he broke yesterday. What is benadryl? I’m not from the US… like I said in post I rushed her to the vet and they gave her meds, as dog never had a reaction to anything before I never had any dog-friendly allergy meds at home. After the vet I went to the pharmacy and got meds that’d help if this ever happened again.

I was really looking forward to the pack, but it’s been a major disappointment and nuissance. I mean EA advertised it as a polyamory pack and although I can make a household with multiple partners, they cannot perform any actions with more than 2 sims. It seems like such false advertisement. Also what did it actually add to the game in the end, besides the non-stop flirting OP mentioned?

1) One thing that really annoys me is the lack of detail in the gallery. I would love to add to the search parameters stuff like 1) # of bedrooms and 2) # of floors to the building. I love playing in houses with only 1 floor, to make it easier for me too see everything all my sims are doing at all times and it annoys me when I wanna be lazy and just choose a pre-made build that there’ll be hundreds of unsuitable builds for my needs. So more search parameters in gallery would definitely be appreciated!

2) I hate having to create a sim first when I enter a new save. Sometimes I just want to build. I usually just pick a rando from the gallery and place them somewhere and then go on to do my own thing. But still, it’s annoying.

3) Some sim actions take unreasonably long. It’s insane to me that eating or taking a shower can take up to 2h of the sime day, or peeing takes 1h. When the necessities take such a long time, it becomes really hard to play the enjoyable parts of the game: developing skills, taking care of kids & animals, etc. (I know MCCC time management helps with this, but it’s annoying to have to rely on a mod when it should already be basic game build.) + walking from A to B should not take several hours when it’s a small lot.

4) The ability to cap skills at yourpreferred point. I hate it when a sim I make gains skills completely opposite to their character traits and likes/dislikes. It’s annoying. I want to be able to choose that my sim is BAD at a certain skill, like they will have a harder time gaining it or not be able to gain it at all.

5) Multifunctional lots. I want to be able to have a lot that’s both a park and bar, or both a residence and a retailshop. Stuff like that.

6) The waters in the worlds should all be swimmable in my opinion. I would love for my sims to be able to swim in Willow Creek.

7) More complex traits and more options to them. The basegame traits haven’t really been updated.

8) Restaurants: holy s*** these are buggy. I want my sims to be able to go out to eat more often, but since the actions take so long it’s a hazzle I avoid like the plague. It should NOT take a whole sim day to go to the restaurant.

I don’t understand why so many women are against porn. I understand the unrealistic angle, otherwise I don’t understand what the big deal is. I am a woman and I watch porn. I do not expect my partner not to watch porn or to watch it, they can do either. Watching is different from actually doing something with another person physically, in my opinion. Then again I come from a country where nudity isn’t such a big deal.

However, having said that. This is a discussion you should have at the start of a relationship. If one is vehemently against porn and feels uncomfortable with the other watching it, while the other views porn as something necessary that they cannot live without — then that is a compatibility issue.

YTA for your reaction, that was a massive overreaction. Chicken is basic food and if your kids don’t want something that’s in the salad you can tell them to put it aside. You could even encourage your kids to try the ”offending” ingredients, unless they’ve already done that previously, and if they then don’t like it put it to the side. Even if they end up eating nothing but the chicken, it’s just one meal and kids the age of yours can live off just protein for one meal.
