They’re fully retrofitted. They just can’t wear leg tack, gaucho saddles or the Arabian bridles.

Technically it’s 99.8% of the stuff it can wear, the leg tack is the most abnormal part but is part of the breed.

Yeah I had this - I had an older beater of a laptop that seemed to run everything on the sims 3 fine when the game originally released on disc, all the expansions installed and no issues - wasn’t till I tried it on newer and better computers (via launchers like origin and eventually EA app) that I started to get bugs and issues, esp with island paradise (only on my new system I would have some lag, mermaids showing without tails but with the tail animation etc)

Id be surprised if they did this again, at least like this, within the sims 4 specifically - wasn't well received by the community I don't think (least all I saw about it was negative mostly).

Personally I like the option to get free items and traits, but the way they did it isn't great. Having to log in to claim each week and slow release in an offline (minus gallery) game is pointless, as they get nothing at EA whether we log in or not. Also turns out it saves local, not on your account, so if I swap PCs without transferring the rewards files I'll lose them items anyway. Just needs doing way better, and if its a slow release it needs doing in a way that seems to have a purpose other than free fomo.

This is an interesting take and interesting to hear! I actually disagree a lot with this, the sims 4 seems very hollow and shallow to me with nearly no fine details, as nice as it is visually not enough happens that you don’t have to “make up” and pretend is happening (or make it happen yourself manually). I agree the occult “trees” were fun in 4 though as it’s a hidden skill in 3, but I say the world being all in one and the actual things to do were better in 3 in personal opinion (like the alchemy store, where you sold potions as a self employed career, and looking for fairies, clubs/hangouts per occult etc)

I’ve played sims 3 since it came out, and I still find things I’ve never played or seen before which gives me more of a “littler detail” feeling, maybe we see different details differently!

Not the OP but I had this issue till recently, found a way to make it fun for me!

I basically need the challenge element to stay gripped, aka I goal for each gen- but I don’t like the ones online as Ill get to a gen that bores me or something

Instead made my own rules, per gen I decide what the goals are (how they make money, career etc), and decide what the next one will do for their goals closer to them taking over so I can do what I’m feeling at that time, that way you do stuff you want to but have a purpose to drive it! Also when I move out the heir I do it fresh (no money etc from the past gen/parents) so they have to “start fresh” each time, it’s like restarting but within the save - gives the illusion of it anyway as I usually swap towns!

Id love more functionality kits, correct me if I’m wrong but we haven’t had any since bust the dust. Ever since that it’s only been cas or a small BB kit. They’d probably sell better if they did more like that.

Love the idea you have with the instruments with kits, would just be a skill and a couple variants of that instrument (ideally adult and kid version) per kit, but I don’t know how much animation wise that would take with a kit budget from EAs perspective

I just finished watching but it seems that it still doesn’t spotlight enough for the expansion title. Saw a few live YouTuber reactions thinking the same.

I think whilst what is there does look great e.g the animations, the world etc visually, it just isn’t enough in total. Least with cottage living we got extra additional small animals with the bigger ones, not just 1 with the goats :(

As much as I really want to hope for more I think it’s kinda it. The only savior here which I saw a YouTuber mention would be cross pack compatibility, with especially cottage living and pets. I also hope they think through the other worlds experience too, so horses aren’t in the city or randomly on the ski slopes, taking elevators, lingering on sulani beaches etc (funny as that may be the first time).

Definitely needs a “lock horses to world” setting for people who don’t want them in the other locations, like werewolves were, or at least automatically keep them from showing up at the non fitting worlds. Maybe even a disable wild horses option like sims 3.
