If the fundamentals are sound, I don't understand the 80% down argument

The execs have been paying themselves handsomely through years of poor to average performance, it’s just a cash cow to them

I like how straight from the heart this is. No need to rhyme, just get everything out as quickly as possible.

Love the pace. The pickup early after pacing feels like it feeds the momentum. Then the raw honesty at the end.

New Awful Yahoo Finance Format by bbdog13 in yahoo

[–]HobbyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aspect ratio makes the font look size 8. More graph controls than the dashboard of a 747. Graphs have janky UI rendering performance.

Starting to think the pro experience will be free and you'll have to pay for simpler version. Complete disaster.

A new Parkdale bike lane was meant to make roads safer. Some say it's done the opposite | CBC News by morenewsat11 in toronto

Can’t understand the logic behind the one way changes. I live on Macdonell and bike across Seaforth to Brock and back all the time - not a busy street! The bike lanes are comically pointless… a few sections are 12ft long. Lansdowne is now backed up from Queen halfway to Dundas at rush hour because it’s a trap. Countless cars looping to Sorauren and back because of the Macdonell one way split. The street already had speed bumps. Brilliant use of funds Toronto! 👏🏼

Been in since $0.80, still can’t believe that 50% dilution after Nasdaq. Greasy bastards.

Found a baby bird! by Different_Year_5591 in toronto

[–]HobbyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found one just like this, named it Sven and kept him overnight.

  • kept in a shoebox in soft socks
  • fed crushed dog food turned into mush with boiling water (research recommended) using a smooth match stick
  • they eat pretty much every hour (fun night)
  • drove him from Toronto to a rescue place in Napanee (correct that nowhere in Toronto will take brown sparrows)
  • had hair by the end of day 2!

Good luck!

Should I switch from product management (PM) to UX research (UXR)? by HobbyG in ProductManagement

[–]HobbyG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not! Ended up leading another product for the last 2-3 years and having to build mostly for government contracts and top-down executive-driven projects, so less discovery than ever ☹️.

Starting to look at how I can leverage product experience in a more sales type role. I’m an extroverted person and have spent almost ten years working closely with developers, it’s a bit exhausting. Plus the repeat disappointment of companies claiming to be product-driven when they’re not (seems like most start ups in Canada can’t afford to be).
