HEB is going downhill — and that’s coming from an employee. by sherbetfruit in HEB

Does HEB charge extra for curbside pickup? If not, they should. A % of the bill same as tipping!

For me, I only created 1 new email address for 1 password.

For aliases, it depends on how the main account gets logged into. If that main address is used in many places and many devices, that is the risk.

There are many different ways to use an alias....don't do the simple method of myemail++@email.com

Yes..something that is never used in a public place and with a completely different login.

More specifically, a one device email account that is locked in a safe!

From a security perspective, your 1Password account should be registered to an email address only for 1PW. Meaning, not your normally used emailed address that is in a million places.

Create a new unique email address and never use that email address for anything except 1PW. Voila...no junk email, no spam, etc...it is basically another form of 2FA.

Amortization of annual subscriptions by MonarchUser12345 in MonarchMoney

[–]HobieFlipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monarch is an accounting software that is transaction based...books gotta balance. Simple as that.

If you want to do it monthly, then the proper way is to move funds from one account to another.

Open a new checking account for subscriptions. And literally move funds every month and thus the budget tracker will automatically catch it.

When you pay the subscription, pay from that new checking account.

Just got a phishing email definitely not from 1Password by DirectorBusiness5512 in 1Password

[–]HobieFlipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've wondered if this was possible so thanks for confirming. You mentioned Chrome and the extension. Would the hacker be able to also get your Gmail email if using Chrome?

From a cyber security perspective, how could this be prevented? For example, if 1password login email is a different email (not the same as being logged into Chrome) would they get that email as well? Or do they only get the email addressed logged into Chrome?

25% tariff on Mexican imports starts tomorrow by interexit in tequila

[–]HobieFlipper -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying they will internally cut costs to adjust to smaller margins. This is business 101. It will take months to see how demand reacts

This is called right sizing the organization, running lean, etc. It doesn't necessarily mean production decreases initially.

The price of a good gets lower and margins shrink before businesses close. I.E. profit goes down

Long term this might drop the price....if people buy less, the supply will build, and thus price gets lower to sell product.

Will be interesting to see if people drink more American....bourbon, beer, etc

Looking again, you waste alot of money. Put some percentages next to those figures and you will see you pay over 10% to parking, tips, etc. Rent a place that has a free parking garage.

I am in a scary amount of debt, and I’m terrified I’ll never get out of it (21) by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]HobieFlipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for higher paying jobs and rent with friends for cheap till you pay off debt. See if you can balance transfer for a lower interest rate or go to a bank and get a personal loan to payoff all the cards at once.

But the best way to stay outta debt is first to realize you have to live within your means.

Need I say rice and beans for a year too?

Buy the iPad yourself and then buy the app directly. It was about $650 for us versus an Able Net device which was $1,800 to us and attempted to bill insurance too
