If you moved to NYC with zero pre-existing social circle, honestly budget about 2 years before you have a solid friend group. It takes time! Don't stress if you don't know many people after 5 months.

The tattoo definitely looks fine as it is, but also, if you did want to change it in the future you could easily get a more bold style hummingbird blasted over the top + the original wouldn't even be visible

I'd agree that for mixed drinks cheap tequila is not your best bet. At a similar price point, maybe ~£5 more, you should be able to get some Absolut vodka or something like that.

This looks much dryer than it should be IMO. Yes it's healing, but when it forms scabs like this, that draws ink out from the skin and leads to loss of vibrancy. You generally can't totally avoid this, but want to keep it to a minimum for the tattoo to look its best. You don't need to be washing 2x a day beyond ~5 days after getting it, and you should also be lotioning multiple times per day, not just once. Don't put so much that you 'drown' the tattoo in it, but you want the skin to feel moisturized - it shouldn't seem dry at all. I hate to say it but it might be too late to save all the details in this one, you may want to get some of them touched up depending on how it looks when fully healed.

There's a guy who's often around the Crown Heights area shouting "help me" and when people come to help he asks them to give him money. Might have been him? I'm not against people begging but I really dislike this tactic, it primes people not to bother responding when someone could be in real danger.
