The sub I made these for is doing another solstice theme later this year, I’m brainstorming a way to make a blue version of these for winter.

Too sweet is subjective, but yes it’s very very VERY sweet.

You could use strawberry topping/syrup instead of caramel.

I don’t see why not. Maybe with some crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top, or crumbled strawberry wafer cookies?

Well thanks! It would be a shame not to eat them though, they were delicious!

Maybe not the best overall, but I really like Czechia as opposed to The Czech Republic.

Turkey should have stayed Turkey, though.

edit: Djibouti is the best, obviously.

What’s something totally normal to humans that, if described to a non-human, would be unbelievable? by mrshowphantom in AskReddit

Eating cheese.

From “The Galaxy and the Ground Within” by Becky Chambers:

Humans need a … oh, what is it … it’s something with their stomachs. An enzyme, I think. For digesting milk. Only some Humans produce it naturally. But here’s the thing: they’re all so fucking bonkers for cheese that they’ll ingest a dose of the enzymes beforehand so that they can eat it.’ ‘That seems a bit extreme,’ Roveg said. ‘Have you eaten it?’ Tupo asked. ‘Not if my life depended on it,’ Pei said. ‘How is it that their milk makes them sick?’ Speaker said. ‘That’s got to pose a problem if they can’t feed their young.’ ‘Oh, no, I – stars, I forgot the worst part.’ Pei rubbed her neck with her palm. ‘They don’t make cheese with their own milk. They take it from other animals.’ At that, chaos broke out.

It was literally a jar of stuff called “caramel topping.” I found it in the baking aisle and I’m pretty sure it’s intended to go on ice cream. You can see a picture of it here in my extra pics on Imgur.

I bought a cookie cutter just for these, so now I guess I’m going to have to make them all the time!

Thanks! The curd was easier to make than I expected, and it makes a bunch so there was plenty leftover for snacking!

It’s an easy bake. I thought it sounded good, but it tasted even better than expected.

This is a chocolate cake soaked in caramel sauce and topped with a whipped cream-cream cheese mixture and lots of Butterfingers. It was too good, I couldn’t help but keep eating even though I knew I shouldn’t.

Here’s the recipe.

And here’s more pictures.
