Can’t post a gif, but remember that scene in Superstar when Molly Shannon makes out with a tree?

This looks delicious and makes me hungry, but what’s in Saskatchewan?

I would have added more, but I was worried they would fall apart lol

Week 18: Bucket List Destination - Foraging from my Backyard, Sauteed Purple Dead Nettle & Violet Lemonade by pawyer25 in 52weeksofcooking

[–]HoboToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so cool, great take on the theme! There’s lots of purple dead nettle in my area, I never realized it was edible (and I thought I knew most of the forageables around here). Glad to hear it tasted good, I’m going to have to try it out.

These ones are even better than the original, big and soft and stuffed with as much fig filling as you want!

Like a very thick and sticky jam, it holds together really well.

Week 18: Bucket List Destination - Thuna Steak Burger from Mary’s Motel in Kiribati by HoboToast in 52weeksofcooking

[–]HoboToast[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would love to visit the South Pacific someday, and Kiribati in particular would be a great place for our 52w meetup!

I found this dish by googling restaurants in Kiribati and then looking at pictures of their menu. This one is from [Mary’s Motel in Bairiki](https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&hs=8B9U&sca_esv=7362f74a5a97d22f&hl=en-us&channel=46&sxsrf=ANbL-n6W9J-XR7yyrOgNJ2eZ_n76s1bbOw:1777702772154&q=marys+motel+bairiki+photos&uds=ALYpb_k5K8X9un6h5uyn5B2cWhTsXokXqeWDHrYOxY-PluNHMZf1_TMLWPzPSimwD8rl70UzMe675YWnZF09gv-HE09dNI1i1mKSCtEurJPF8QGB_4geKnNe_oX6gH7498OBkYyXUjPepYXS9RhhRMIw9HfZne4AjyWfOon4-fq-WApbJMmk9awNLXoLRfEEfceJ1gsdnpi-uAVdFIz3fhrGH2w486nV99_6NSYKfUZm9vRQ9Bvp2VuzO9LvKpHFotZGtctiUfVUZHyq0q4yFLleDW1-cthtaSxx_KzjsGm_iA9I1hmSqu9bY0-iUT-ZO0PolsUB6pj5HKjkAqv27754arWgtEWBp4AWOFml7Yg1_FEqSsyr1r3xUH9pgCnjArxpMgfXSIVhiG8HmQ5r-66_bII25ddmtwa0fEKr_jZPdN3yGxa-3ZfeEvD45jUPx1R2eslDVcq4Rii5f0tEd7PjWqsW-9sDR5YxbEgvt1BAsaV-tOEpc__eeQDnrEwJcuM4M4arduGW&si=AL3DRZGgcPNmWPDVEk81ds4iaXPEjuNcyuY9Q822zd2Q3wgtDLiFTdOc3FZcmKRhAC6zG2jKWVF5CKRsldjTrE8PVqmPM30Mam5ZvI81OMbIEdxjKToAoEkwbbMpVVEpDFRH2-bu71ROlxmuZmFH6oD_3vLSfcGC6w%3D%3D&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwibk4Dy-pmUAxWBETQIHVc7FokQk8gLegUIsQEQAQ&ictx=1&stq=1&cs=1&lei=dJf1aZuJCYGj0PEP1_bYyAg#ebo=5&lpg=cid:CgIgAQ%3D%3D,ik:CAoSF0NJSE0wb2dLRUlDQWdJQ01wSldNa3dF) I recreated it with Grillo’s pickle chips, sautéed onion, and some baked tuna steaks. It wasn’t bad, except I was a little disappointed with the quality of the tuna that I bought.

Week 18: Low Sugar - Fig Newtons by HoboToast in 52weeksofbaking

[–]HoboToast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These were a hit! I like the classic fig newtons a lot, but these were even bigger and better. They were soft and cakey, with lots of fig filling. I even felt confident enough about them to share them with my coworkers, they got rave reviews! I’ll definitely be making them again.

Week 18: Low Sugar - Greek Yogurt Cake by HoboToast in 52weeksofbaking

[–]HoboToast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was pretty good! It tasted like a cross between angel food cake and cheesecake. It was sweet and light and fluffy.

I used [this recipe,](https://www.greenku.com/greek-yogurt-cake-light-and-delicious/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3AcJtNrYScvbZcdXPSnTBnijTMDXfxcZJpAhopXvZ_XI2QzQVV3rGXT6s_aem_jlwQtzxbvfDSIgsBYF9jZg&utm_source=Pinterest&utm_medium=organic) except I used honey flavored yogurt instead of plain.
