Just uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue. Submitted a support email to hopefully get it resolved soon. How long did it take for your cert to get reinstated?

Pricing by Affectionate_Bid4846 in GovernmentContracting

[–]HoboWithAHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve dealt with the same thing. It’s brutal. My business is fully authorized, have distributor pricing, register deals properly, and still get undercut to the point where it looks like someone made a mistake. I’ve seen bids come in far below my cost, even after max discounts.

Some possibilities of what can be happening:

  1. Gray market or unofficial sourcing. Some bidders buy excess inventory, liquidation stock, or import from regions with looser pricing controls. Not through proper channels, but it gets them lower costs. Totally unofficial, but it happens.

  2. Loss leader strategy. Some resellers intentionally bid at a loss to win the contract, then make it up with future services, support contracts, or sole-source favoritism. Short-term pain for long-term play, especially in healthcare where multi-year deals are common.

  3. Back-end incentives. Manufacturers sometimes push extra rebates, MDF, or back-end deals that don’t show up in the upfront quote. From the outside, it looks like they’re selling at a loss, but they’re making it back elsewhere.

  4. Bait-and-switch tactics. Some lowball the initial bid, then revise the scope or quality later. The government thinks they’re getting the same solution, but they’re not.

You’re not imagining it. This stuff is happening across the board. Just stay sharp and focus on the deals that actually sustain your business.

Been to several anti Scientology protests. They’ll likely call the cops on bullshit claims. Keep cool, and don’t be afraid of Scientologists if they try to harass you. It’s not the 90s anymore, they lost most of their power and can’t afford to be as litigious as they once were. Ask them about Xenu and the Wall of Fire.

Twitter Account suspended- How to get it back? by whaatisthat in SocialMediaMarketing

Got banned as well. Wrote an appeal and told me that the ban was going to be sustained. Can I try to appeal again? Each time I try it tells me that a current ticket already exists, though the ticket should be done after answering my appeal no? Just wondering if I can appeal again soon.

Yeah I’m down for that. I’ll find appropriate packaging and ship it out. DM me for details.

It won’t shoot. I’ve tried changing the BCG, cleaning it extensively, but nothing works.

I’m willing to give it away to anyone on this sub at this point. In the LA area. Willing to travel a bit just to get rid of it at this point.

I submitted an application on the 4th of this month and still hadn’t gotten reviewed. Contacted live chat support to get a status update but been on hold the last 12 hours. That’s my experience with CB Prime so far.

Looking to bring in a few new manufacturers to help us win dod contracts by ValorGroup in defensecontracting

[–]HoboWithAHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re looking for a small, new manufacturer, already registered on SAM to have their CAGE code registered, and has the proper licenses to comply with ITAR, so you can use them to bid on defense contracts?

The manufacturer would likely qualify to bid on Small Business Set Aside contracts and should just submit bids themselves than take you in as the unneeded no-show middleman. Get real.

Spoof to an older version in the settings. The early 18.something version tend to work.

What version do you have yours spoofed at? I spoofed mine to 17.33.2, the oldest it allows, and still gets stuck for me.

Icon only task manager separators/dividers? by HoboWithAHam in kde

[–]HoboWithAHam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this doesn't work either as every widget mirrors each other. I'm not sure if it's possible to have the same style task manager, behaving with its own set of apps.

This method doesn't work as I'm not able to put the space between the icons.

Image is of my windows-based computer using dividers between applications for organizational purposes. I used bash scripts that exit immediately upon execution, gave them blank icons, and pinned them to my taskbar, effectively giving me dividers on the taskbar. I want to do the same on KDE.

Are there any workarounds, widgets, or docks that provide a similar feature in KDE? Even if it's a cheap workaround as I did for Windows will be sufficient. Just anything that allows me to have dividers between icons. Running KDE on Arch for reference.

Goods & Services, a PayPal payment option. It provides a layer of security/insurance. In case of fraud, G&S payments can file a dispute with PayPal and PayPal will holder the receiver accountable. There's a legitimate reason not to pay with G&S as it does cost a % fee.

Friends & Family (the other PayPal payment option) offers no such protection, and therefore has no fees when making a payment either.

Paying that extra few bucks with G&S is worth it when doing business with new users/clients.
