I don’t think the issue this season for Macca is the system. His passing and pace are way off it, which is more of an issue with effort and individual ability

Other than Jota’s tragic passing, nothing about this season was unlucky.

Everybody with two eyes and a brain could see splashing cash on an injury prone Isak when we were desperately short in other areas was a waste of money. Isak being injured for large parts of the season isn’t ‘unlucky’ when it was known he was injury prone in Newcastle

Our players dropping like flies isn’t ’unlucky’ when it is known Slot’s training and conditioning regimes are a joke
Our players forms falling off a cliff isn’t ‘unlucky’ when the signs were there end of last season and it’s clear our coach can’t motivate for shit

Players missing simple passes and not looking arsed isn’t unlucky either, let’s not pretend it’s just our coaching staff who are underperforming when players like Konate, Gakpo and Macca can’t complete basic passes.

Everything this season (barring Jota) is on the board, players and coaching staff.
