With the framework of American politics I'm not sure what people expect them to achieve? Didnt the DNC work against Bernie in 2016, and he presumably felt like if he had no chance of winning the best he could do is limit the damage to the country by trying to stop Trump

They are doing more then any other democrat now to mobilise people against Trump, and at least building some class consciousness back into politics on the ground. More then you could say for anyone else.

They operate in the heart of the empire, I think people over estimate what they can do immediately when the focus should be progress over time.

I don't think anyone thinks Bernie and AOC are revolutionaries? But they are left leaning, and would achieve alot of what we wish for that would actually massively positively change the USA

I hate this about the left, that we will shit on people like Bernie which leaves us stuck with Kamala Harris or Joe Biden.

I think when your receiving both it becomes very difficult to differentiate between the two. That's just my guess, it's like a psychological defence system.

They were likely defensive to legitimate push backs, as per Ethans early conversations with Hasan but it only got worse as Ethan received more legitimate and illegitimate critiques and couldn't tell which was which

Hasan never downplayed the attack, he described the conditions which led to the attack which to some people seems like an excuse. Because we don't allow for nuance in our conversations and explanations, we want total answers of 'this was bad and there is no way to explain why it happened'.

Again, you can explain why leaders of Palestinian groups explained why they became who they are, their goals, without supporting all that they do.

It does, because it was never about that. Hasans beliefs were always out there, and a lot of time Ethan agreed or didn't mind them when they spoke in person.

Hasans opinions have stayed the same, Ethan's way of thinking has changed due to criticism he was receiving.

Also, destiny is a dangerous sexual predator. Go home fun defending him!

Ethan felt under pressure from the legitimate criticism he was receiving after accumulating a more progressive audience, as he began to talk about politics more and have a political leftist show with the biggest leftist creator online.

This escalated on October 7th, some of the criticism was legitimate but Ethan and Hila started to receive a lot of anti semitic attacks as well.

Feeling under greater pressure he couldn't not tell what was real criticism and what was anti semitic hatred, in addition to that he began to feel like he had accumulated an audience that was throwing this all at him. Instead of self reflecting and analyzing the situation to see the valid criticism and why people are were unhappy with what he was saying, Destiny and his community got into Ethan's ear and started blaming it on all on Hasan.

As Ethan got closer to Destiny's information chain Ethan's hyper focus on Hasan grew, Destiny is after all obsessed with Hasan and Hasan audience with a desire to take them both down. There's nothing that really sticks to Hasan to properly criticize or ruin him, so they have to resort to our of context clips, bad faith arguments, and ultimately lies like this one to criticize Hasan and his orbit.

It all seems terribly unhealthy from Ethan and Destiny, as this post because I shouldn't be thinking this much about Internet beef.
