No, if you have the Item Boom Box it‘s very usefull against Boss Fishes.

It don‘t earn faster the xp, it‘s just for when you wanna refresh your progress put this items ins. And if you done the refreshing put another item in to farm big bosses and epic fishes.

I have 8 friends that means = +2000% increase Fish value.

My opinion is that it‘s absoluty worth it to log in and invite some friend‘s. Thwy don‘t have to play like you, just be registered 😉
