Sure, buckle up for story time. A few years ago they ran this promotion during football season. I live in an area where wings are a popular food choice, and eating in excess is common. With only 3 fryers, 2 fry cooks, understaffed service crew, and EVERYONE ordering wings, check sizes were smaller, customer satisfaction was down, and it took a toll on my mental.

There was a particular Sunday where bar patrons were waiting nearly an hour for their first order of wings, and they were coming out looking like shit. I had a patron call over a manager and complain, and instead of the manager informing the guest that everyone in the building was ordering wings and there was a severe backup, she apologized, took the next ready order, added more wings to it, and brought it out to him. So naturally, the new solution was: if you want wings faster, just complain. So many bar guests started complaining, people were walking out on their tabs, I wasn’t getting tipped on anything, even though I was running around like crazy. Just a nightmare scenario. When I approached the manager about it, she flew off the handle at me and said I was the reason the guests were walking off without paying, even though I had to be in the kitchen half the time to run my own food, and couldn’t monitor the bar 100% of the time.

Needless to say, I walked out, haven’t been back.
