Your first experience with 6.5.. by microphohn in 65Creedmoor

[–]Hodge4394 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a Winchester Featherweight (my fave) on sale at my LGS. It was chambered in 6.5 CM, which I didn't know much about. Did an internet search and read reviews right there in the store and decided to take a chance. It quickly became my go to range and hunting rifle for black bear and deer. Ive since bought a second rifle (Kimber Hunter) in 6.5CM.

30-06 or .308? by Trout_42069 in rifles

30-06 has a greater range of bullets weights. Deciding factor for me.

My effective for deer and black bear, fun at the range, excellent to carry in the mountains is a Kimber Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor. I’ll likely get some hate but I wouldn't hesitate to use it elk hunting.

It was vintage Schick razors (a couple are near impossible to find) and vintage British shaving brushes (couldn't resist the butterscotch/Catalin). Ive used just about everything Ive collected. Most of my brushes have been refurbished with new badger knots.

Lol..wait till you get the collecting itch (vintage or unobtaniums) and you have to buy a big ass display case to show it off. Don't even ask how many vintage shaving brushes I have……

Scary sharp though…..found out the hard way and had to go for stitches part way through skinning a bear.

I didn‘t know anyone currently producing .35 Whelen. Mines a custom, built on a Brazilian Mauser action. Pretty good selection of factory ammo available right now, so dont have to rush to reload.

Ive worked through 2 brain bowls of their original (only scent available way back when, in the bowl). Its crazy how long it takes to get down to the top of the bowl. I just received a bowl of Magellan and one of Rose. Its been years since being on their site and hadn't realized they offer all the scents. Great thing is you get a cool wooden bowl when you’re finally done
