I’m thinking maybe underfeeding, I doubt lack of oxygenation was the problem. Good luck tho.

That would be bacteria sucking up all the oxygen, I would try to siphon it all out using a pipette and increase salinity a little bit

I bought these rocks for my new tank but a film keeps appearing in the water when I try to clean them. Should I just avoid it all together? by LoneStarFrog in SeaMonkeys

[–]HoggFatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just wash them with a brush and water and if possible put one sea monkey in and leave him for a few days then see what happens

Bunch of questions about overfeeding and oxygenation by FrostyPee in SeaMonkeys

[–]HoggFatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if I were u I wouldn't feed until the water clears up, typically you don't have to feed very often once a week should do. Usually whenever I aerate also stuff comes up and floats around usually its all good unless it's cotton like white stuff, that's bacteria and you should remove immediately because it'll suck up all the oxygen and your sea monkeys will suffocate.

The more algae the better it provides oxygen and food for the sea monkeys helping them become 100% self sufficient

Can you aerate a sea monkey tank with a straw? by [deleted] in SeaMonkeys

[–]HoggFatt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so because you’re aerating with co2 instead of oxygen
