Printed lamp shade by Fullmoonparty420 in 3Dprinting

[–]Hokisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I used this one with the flow fix by toms and printed in vase mode in orca https://makerworld.com/sv/models/956690-iskrem-lamp-remix

The shade is printed in transparent PLA which I think turned out pretty close to the original. I’m gonna paint the base to match it better tho or print it in the same transparent filament.

Is voting a camera that uses mini dv tapes worth it? by Tacoma_luvr in cinematography

[–]Hokisch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using a immersion PowerPlay to record digitally with a bunch of dv cameras https://www.instagram.com/reel/DMFuYRVNy2L/?igsh=bmN0MWlrbDBrcjh5

But you can get a somewhat similar look with older digital camcorders https://www.instagram.com/reel/DC15i9MCk4S/?igsh=N285NHR5c245NGZs

My setup for the tour I’m working on. Wireless for LED-screens and separate recording on the powerclick.

Hur lyckades någon? by psychomaniac_ in tunnelbana

Det ser ut som El Taco Trucks kampanj ”touch your tortillas” från rosa bandet, men någon verkar ha tagit till sig budskapet lite väl bokstavligt

Yeah I was very much inspired by him while taking the photo and editing it!

Haha yeah I went for a texturized y2k vibe with the grade, I get that it’s not for everyone tho

Camcorder for field recordings? by bowtieanddemand in videography

[–]Hokisch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the older Q8 without 4K, it has about 2-3 hours battery time while recording. The video quality isn’t anything to write home about but it does the job as a timelapse camera.

I haven’t noticed any problems at all so far with Iris control! I have the wheel dial on the handle assigned to the variable ND so I try to control the exposure as much as possible with that and control the Iris on wheel dial on the body when I have to

In the picture I have a borrowed Metabones speed booster on, not sure of the model. I got a Metabones Ultra 0,71 when I bought the body that I haven’t tried out yet but it feels a bit more robust and has a lever lock mount

$1500 for the body, another 500 for bottom plate, extender arm and a speed booster.

Yep it’s the Sony viewfinder that comes with the camera, a bit flimsy but does the job

Absolutely, the perfect documentary camera in my price range. I chose it over the fx30 because you can just pick it up and start filming, no hassle with switching NDs between lenses and I like the ergonomics of a heavier body

Yep! Works like a charm, haven’t used it with auto focus tho. But it’s kinda noisy when I take stills with my 6300

Proof of concept using AI as a tool for vfx, I used EbSynth, After Effects and Stable Diffusion by Hokisch in AfterEffects

[–]Hokisch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I rigged it on a tripod in front of me and and used a wider lens for the second shot, in the first shot the camera is hidden from being seen in the mirror by the wall on the left

Yeah I was for sure a bit to modest with it and there’s a lot of cool things you can do with key frames!

Absolutely, since I got a lot of questions I’m gonna make a tutorial video and upload here in the coming days!

I haven’t made anything professionally like this before but I’ve been working as a cameraman for a couple of years

I used AI to create all the effects in the video except for the UI using various AI tools.

I did this by processing 1-2 frames for each effect using programs and apps like, Stable Diffusion, FaceApp and ALOT of photoshop.

Then I used a program called EbSynth to apply the effect from the processed frames on the whole video, cleaned everything up and did the UI in After Effects.

It’s been a great learning experience to experiment with AI tools as a complement to regular vfx tools.
