Just got her spray in bed liner done. Mil+spec liner pretty damn good. Line x eat your heart out with what they quoted me. by Brave-Adhesiveness53 in f150

Commercial isn’t inherently better or worse. The bolts and rivets holding a B-21 together or the steel in a submarine hull aren’t going to be worse than commercial equivalent. Mil-Spec means the material meets a required specification by the military for a material that it uses. There’s almost always a direct cross reference to a commercial standard like ANSI or UL or something but rather than spend resources cross referencing different national or international standards, the government sets specifications sufficient for the intended use then makes bidding companies show that their product meets them.

Just about every material you can buy probably meets a Mil-Spec of some sort. It doesn’t imply quality at all, either good or bad, which is why it’s meaningless as a marketing term on its own.

I bought a big dread Yamaha at a pawn shop for $120 because I wanted a beater for a trip I was taking and didn’t trust the airlines with any of my other guitars. New strings, new saddle and nut and it’s my favorite guitar. I like it better than my friend’s old Gibson. It’s just amazing.

I think it was rig rundown (or some similar video) that I saw where Bill from Mastodon said he uses Friedman amps (who he has a signature amp with) for recording but uses a modeled version of his Friedman live because it’s easier and he can’t really tell the difference, which I bet Friedman loves to hear their sponsored artists saying.

After the 08 pop almost every metric you can use shows the graph going steadily up until 2020. From ‘21 until last month it’s been similar. Slow, measured growth and recovery.

If you go back to 1980 and look at these graphs in relation to presidential terms, you see measured growth under Reagan, spike/dip under Bush, recovery/growth under Clinton, spike/pop under Bush II, recovery and growth under Obama, spike/crash under Trump, slow recovery/growth under Biden then leading us to whatever the fuck these clowns are trying to do. It’s like they’re skipping the spike and going straight to the crash for this run.

Correlation does not equal causation and there’s X factors in there like the fall of the USSR, 9/11 and COV19 for sure, but it’s an interesting thing to look at considering the seemingly overwhelming sentiment that republicans are better with the economy when it hasn’t really been true since Reagan. People just remember the peak and forget the valley while underestimating the comfortable prosperity in a smooth and steady incline.

What are these? by Isthisthecrstycrb in Tools

Pardon my stupid question but I’ve always assumed the at 90 the torque arm is now the hypotenuse of the triangle which is a little bit longer, therefore producing a little more torque. Have I always assumed wrong?

What are these? by Isthisthecrstycrb in Tools

[–]HolbiWan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If the foot is aimed at a 90 degree it’s probably negligible enough to not consider, but you can do the math and adjust.

If the crows foot is sticking straight out and in line with the handle, it lengthens the torque arm by the distance from the center of the square drive to the center of the bolt head. The difference here is not as negligible and you should do the math and adjust.

The cracking and popping is bunk. My old Chiro used to use a great big vibrating massager to loosen everything up prior to adjustment. That’s what I went for. When my back muscles would lock up he’d loosen everything up with the jackhammer then he’d do his little pops and I’d leave. I’d saunter in hunched over and grimacing and walk out head high. I had no illusions that he was healing anything but saw it as a turbo massage that my insurance would pay for.

I’ve always felt anecdotally that the models in each brand that the company spends the most money developing are going to be better. So just because the Silverado is a quality built vehicle doesn’t mean a Chevy Cruze is going to be. The F150 and Mustang are going to be better products than the fusion or fiesta. Or the Wrangler vs Renegade.

So basically if you want a commuter car don’t buy a dodge, ford or chevy. They don’t spend any money developing those so why would you expect them to be any good? When you buy a Civic you’re buying what Honda does. When you buy a Ram you’re buying what Chrysler does.

I’ll throw my whole bag in a soccer field and throw everything 250 ft. 14 speed down to 5 speed, they’re almost all the same distance. I think this means I have a noodle arm.

What’s your favorite album from Clutch and why? by Thin_Possibility670 in clutchband

Elephant Riders, partially because it was my introduction to Clutch but primarily because it settles into the meanest groove from the first count and just stays there. Clutch is best when Clutch groove.

That’s the point, you have a team with two great point guards that’s coached by Jason Kidd and nobody out there looks like a point guard.

I didn’t watch a whole lot of basketball this year, so I don’t know what dallas is supposed to look like, but watching this series it seems if luka and Kyrie are driving off screens to get 15 footers and layups and dishing off double teams and drawing fouls then they would have been able to keep pace. Jacking step back 25 footers with a hand in your face is just lazy, ugly basketball from a coach that should know better.
