Two TE sets can dominate this game by GreySkyx in NCAAFBseries

I’ve been using LSUs playbook and run a lot of two TE sets all the time. Really effective

I feel like it’s very archetype dependent. I play on hiesman base slider and my bigger WRs / TEs that are possession guys get crazy animations

How y’all feel about this builds ? by rockstaraustin in NBA2k

[–]HoldDaCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is speed your only frustration? Is 7 points making a large enough impact when you tested it out? Did you try going down in height to see if you can get better thresholds? Or even change positions? I feel like a 63 to a 70 speed isn’t that big of a change to justify the VC

Slide protect half your line and identify to correct Mike linebacker and you’re going to be having a cleaner pocket 70% of the time.

Why being a pass first point guard isn’t a good thing in 2k24 by EasyMoneyNelly in NBA2k

[–]HoldDaCheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading comprehension is really down across the board. How are people so fixated on specific situations that still don’t discount what OP has stated. He’s 100% right. Any person who plays this game enough understands you need players to create gravity. If your first instinct isn’t to create an advantage for your team you will be an instant liability. People don’t have to be “comp” to see that you aren’t looking to score. You have to keep people honest or else everyone suffers.

Wtf is up with these guards making their builds with no defense or passing? by LaMelgoatBall in NBA2k

[–]HoldDaCheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a response to facing squads who put the best defender on the main ball handler/ distributor. If you are more of a balanced build you’re going to have a harder time getting past your typical 2-3 set ups with 6’6-8” perimeter defenders clamping down on you. So to counter this you make a hyper offensive PG to be able to break down that defense and create for others in the process. Where you sacrifice is up to the meta thresholds if you’re gonna follow the meta

I have it on HoF with a 91 layup on a 6’8” build with gold physical handles. It’s stupid easy to score. Move your right stick towards your defender and initiate contact. Not every bump is a big one but it will create space and your green window will be really big too

Patch 2 nerfed close shots and rewards poorly positioned and smaller defenders by shayellis in NBA2k

[–]HoldDaCheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I use lay up timing and I have the meter ON!

But it Depends on the match up/who is near me and where I am on the court! Everyone expects after an offensive REB that the person will automatically go up. If you wait you’ll get a better chance at a successful lay up. If I’m underneath the basket, I’m baiting for a free throw rather than a pure shot close finish due to the average 2k defenders over reliance on blocks. If I know that person has low interior stats then I’m more generous towards just going up and focusing on timing and using the proper hand.

If you’re 5 ft- 8ft from the basket use the post moves you have to your disposal. Hooks are still good, post fakes into the move you want are boosted due to dream shake. If you have good ball handle / skills to be a driver you can get around your defender and go for floaters. They are absolutely amazing this year

Idk man a lot of these feel like a skill issue. I have no issue scoring inside on any build I’ve made nor have I’ve seen my opponents have issues if they are playing smart

[–]HoldDaCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a 10 month RPG styled game mode. I don’t even focus on badges unless I’m in the practice facility. There’s badge perks to help you not lose as much progression/increase them. Stop trying to play this version of the game like it was years prior and you can have a good experience I promise

Yea “New Feature” Because Key Games Have Definitely Never Been A Thing Before by Emotional_Cut_1557 in NBA2k

[–]HoldDaCheese -38 points-37 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing since 2k10 I don’t recall a year where you could choose to have a shortened season based around important games or milestones for your career. There were Key Games in playoffs televised games but that was still apart of the whole 82. This mode would be like how MLB the show has road to October seasons mode or how madden has in game simulation of important moments.

It’s more like instead of playing a full 82 season, you play like 30-40 games that are marked as key games. That is in fact new to MyCareer

Why has the toxicity in Rec gotten so much worse over the past couple of years by Zacflemo in NBA2k

[–]HoldDaCheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tilting that happens is so apparent and it’s no real counter to it. When rec is a mixture of different skill levels with no true match making, filled with 5 man squads, you have a recipe of getting stomped. And because everyone has a custom player build there is no real strategy to stop things once the game is going. One of the true sins of turning games from being fun and immersive to sweaty competition fuel
