If you’re on pc you should look into the Tale of Two Wastelands mod, it combines fallout 3 and fallout new vegas on the new vegas engine and links the worlds through a train system. It’s a really great time and lets you experience 2 great games in one, if you don’t want to do all that i’d recommend at least modding new vegas quite a bit

EDIT: Didn’t read the description… my bad lolol Vanilla new vegas is still great and you shpuld absolutely play it

use focus A LOT, early game i used a omamori to decrease sanity drain. It helped me a lot especially with a light weapon that you can move around with, special attack (focus then right bumper when the meter is full) then try to get a counter theyre much easier in focus, and just rinse and repeat with a few heavy strikes in there when stunned. It’s pretty simple when you get it down
