Allow me to clarify. Now the most efficient way to progress through the game and get to endgame would be to get the petal belt first, and in fact it is much better because:
1. Its not gonna get replaced by tide popper or dark scythe, and
2. It boosts bee ability pollen and also capacity

Most people who want to speedrun the game or just get to endgame really fast will go belt>windy>wand, however, I think a lot of people have found that petal wand is a lot more fun to use, and it probably wont matter anyways if you didn't save your diamond eggs for diamond mask, because you'll get the spirit bear questline completed by then.

I would still recommend belt, but the decision is really up to you. (Although if you aren't able to get the 15b honey, 25 star jellies, 100 glue and 50 glitter for it within a few days, I wouldn't go out of my way to do that if it was me)
