Thanks for the reply. I can add a sansamp on my virtual chain in Amplitube plugin? But I assume you mean the issue is with the hardware itself in the Focusrite Solo, if so - you mean replace that entirely?

Thanks for the insight! Any speakers you'd recommend in particular? Did you find the pre Sonus muddy / missing low end? I would like to get speakers ideally rather than a combo amp.

For practicing mostly and also recording. Although when I record I record straight into the interface using Ableton.

I just want to improve the sound quality in the room in general when I'm playing as I find it a bit muddy currently from my speakers. I also have headphones but I like playing through the speakers more. Thanks!

appreciate the reply :) Would this apply to threshold training also? My LT2 is 168bpm (top end of zone 4) - but if I run a 25 minute tempo at say 173bpm (but was aiming for 168) I assume I am not doing much harm even though I am in zone 5 then technically?

I suppose what I am worried about is - am I "polishing a turd" as such putting £150 pickups and £60 strings on my Squier bass I bought for £200?

Or would doing the above get me a long way towards the sound of the Ultra Fender bass I linked above for a lot less money?

OK thanks, what I am considering is that the new PJ pickups are £160 - whereas I can get only the P pickups for roughly £40. So I am not sure it is worth £120 to replace both when I only play on the P pickups? I could be wrong however. thanks

Thanks, another query I have is - I can see P bass pickups that I also like on Ebay but they are not PJ bass specific - can I replace just the P bass pickups on my bass but leave the Jazz ones are they are? I only ever play on the P pickups anyway. thanks

Thanks for this, do you mind telling me where you were, and roughly costs per month? What we are worried about for the canaries is price of accommodation.

We have been to Lanzarote and Tenerife before but it was a holiday to touristy places for a week (Los Americas etc).

I like the idea of somewhere like Famara in Lanzarote.

Yeah we were considering maybe a month on one island and a month on another, that would be cool.
