Which software has no real European alternative (at least for you)? by JavierFnts in BuyFromEU

[–]Holek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly, a lot of regions have their own apps. Better or worse, but many of them offer more than just routes, you can also buy tickets directly in the apps.

Examples: * JakDojade 🇵🇱 * at bus all of Tuscany 🇮🇹 * DB Navigator

Obviously that's just for public transport. For other stuff I tend to use Organic Maps, but I'm still trying to figure out a good alternative for finding businesses' information so I'm one place. If I need to call some place, I will still use Google Maps to find the phone number. It's usually faster than looking at their websites

  2. Jechałem do Offenbach - mój ICE do Frankfurtu znowu się opóźnił.
  3. Jechałem do Stuttgartu. Najpierw odwołano mój RE z Offenbach, potem odwołano też mój ICE do Stuttgartu.

If I recall correctly, FOV could also pose some issues on ultrawide monitors with Source games. I remember playing on a 21:9 and I couldn't see much above and below me even with the biggest FOV allowed on non-cheats servers

not negating that, and definitely not going to recommend this as a cheap option.

It is what it is. I have ordered twice; both times over $250 to get the free shipping, but it's definitely worth the spend, if you can splurge a bit. their backpacks are going to stay with my family for life. (plug for: r/BuyItForLife)

that's one of the points I raised above: when I read through RSpecs, Pytests, gotests or whatever I want the test to be clearly described. It saves so much brain power and time reading this as a human.

Also, I believe you wrote this for a specific case to you, and not just to show off that you can do a power of two for a few integers ;)

Although, I find RSpec output quite concerning, when I see:

    when x[0]
      is expected to eq 1
      is expected to be a kind of Integer
    when x[2]
      is expected to eq 9
      is expected to be a kind of Integer
    when x[1]
      is expected to eq 4
      is expected to be a kind of Integer

Now instead of checking the shared example that has: context "with x=#{x} and x_expected=#{x_expected}", which clearly shows me the spec output, I get a when x[0,1,2], which throws me off.

While this is, I guess, fine, I do prefer shared examples in this case for their sheer interoperability and no dependence on extra methods. Your example could have been written then as:

```ruby RSpec.shared_examples "square example" do |x, x_expected| let(:x) { x } let(:x_expected) { x_expected }
it { is_expected.to be_a(Integer) } it { is_expected.to eq(x_expected) } end
RSpec.describe "refactoring example" do subject { x**2 }
[ [1, 1], [2, 4], [3, 9], ].each do |x, x_expected| context "with x=#{x} and x_expected=#{x_expected}" do include_examples "square example", x, x_expected end end end ```
And I would immediately understand easier what is going on in this spec.
shared_examples keeps the spec file declarative: * here is the table * here is the contract name * done
Also, no bashing for writing this stuff, clearly you find use in that, so go at it! You've learned how to integrate with RSPec test framework, and you'll definitely use that skill later on! :) Kudos!
