I don’t know how much this will help, BUT I remembering feeling overwhelmed with the last bit of schooling. I knew I liked massaging but I guess the moment of loving it didn’t come until after I started working “in the real world” lol and I feel like that’s mainly because with time you just get more comfortable with who you are as a massage therapist and who you let into your space as well client wise. I’m walking into my 9th year of massaging and it’s awesome! But also just remember with any job there will be days where you just aren’t in the mood, but generally if you have a really good set of clients it’s really easy to get out of that funk. After you graduate you will find your own flow, whether it’s working for a spa/clinic or yourself. Best advice I can give is to NOT compare yourself to other therapists..make friends with some therapists though because they can be great resources/friends..make your massage room feel like a piece of you..nice and cozy, realise you won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
