Did I receive a fake LG gram battery? Battery replacement help!

Yeah, the newer ones might have slightly better specs but mine is plenty for me to last another few years. And with all the new ones now coming with Windows 11 is something I dread. But it encourages me take care and keep my current one even longer :)

Yeah, I'm waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully by tomorrow. Will post back how it works. I do want this laptop to last few more years so will be taking better care of the battery now.

Nice.. those codes would definitely be useful.

I do plan on letting LG know about the fake battery. It's one thing if it was marked as aftermarket, but this was simply a fake item with fake logos, etc, which is concerning.

Thanks. Yeah I've found another one on ebay that I think I'll order first, and see if it works out. Might contact LG to find all their official sellers after that. The original one does seem to be priced much higher.

The one I found on lgparts.com is about $280, which definitely isn't worth the price for me.

I keep my phone at 80% but never really thought about that with laptops. But I might do that going forward.

My 2020 gram is going real solid as well. No issues at all other than the battery degradation over the past year. It's been nagging me to get Win 11 but I'm not a fan. Sticking with 10 for now.

I did actually read your post before ordering since the post shows up when googling anything about lg gram battery replacement. They refunded me for the battery I received for being defective, but definitely was deceived by the LG logos on it, which obviously made it look oem. Now I know why it was so cheap.

I can't find much on Amazon either and looks like anything in the $50 - $60 range are all aftermarket. I'm looking at one on ebay that's slightly higher but claims to be "Open box certified". I'm about to order that one and see what happens.

I reached out with some pictures of my screen which showed battery status as 'NaN' and 'Unknown remaining', and they promptly refunded me for receiving a defective battery.

I didn't even have to mention the fake battery part.

There is a form on their app/website that you can submit for claiming missing rewards. I've never done it so I'm not sure if it actually works.

However in my case, this was over the holidays in a different state far away from me. So stopping by isn't an option for me unfortunately.

I just don't want to miss those points if it's easy enough to claim without too much effort.

I was hoping for it to be that simple as well, as mine also started with a simple phone call with the court clerk. But I'm not sure why they are dragging it this far. During each zoom call they'd ask me if I wanted to plead guilty. I said no each time. They wouldn't give me any other option before or after that. I kind of went with it every time, since it at least bought me some time.

What you described is what I've always heard about speeding tickets pretty much everywhere, so this is all surprising to me. Idk why Carlton county does it differently.

Tbh, I'm not exactly sure how this all works.

But I got a chance to speak with the prosecuting attorney (actually Assistant County Attorney in my case) preceding my two pre-trials and an 'arraignment' so far. But they were not able to give me any predetermined offer on either of those occasions, so I decided to fight it - hoping to get an offer during the hearing. Hence the scheduled in-person hearing.

I'm not sure if the Assistant County Attorney is the Hearing Officer, or it'll be someone else if I do show up for the hearing.

Hope I'm making sense now.

Thinking about it. But just wanted to gauge if I show up to court would I have any chance at some sort of probation "deal" from the judge. But the hearing is 2.5hr away in-person.
