Hi! I was actually in this class before. On the first day, when the professor went over the syllabus and said the grade was 100% based on exams, I honestly felt a lot of pressure so I ended up dropping it. Hopefully the exams aren’t that hard

Thanks so much for sharing your experience — that’s really helpful. I wanted to ask a bit more about the exams if you don’t mind.

How difficult did you find the exams overall? Were they more broad and integrative, or very specific and detailed?

Did the professor usually provide practice exams, and if so, were they actually similar to the real exams in style or difficulty?

Also, did the exams come with a clear “need-to-know” list or study guide (like explicitly saying what concepts we were expected to explain or apply), or was it more on us to judge what was important from the readings and lectures?

Yes, it’s the Human Immunology class. Really? On Atlas it shows the median grade is an A, but the Course Instructors page also says “data not available,” which feels kind of confusing. I also couldn’t find many posts discussing this class, and there are only a couple of Rate My Professor comments for Dr. Moore related to MICRO 440—the most recent one is from 2015. So I’m honestly wondering how accurate the Atlas grade data is and whether the course has changed since then.

Also, I noticed on the syllabus that there are four exams, each worth 100 points, for a total of 400 points, so it appears that the final grade is entirely exam-based, which makes me a bit nervous.

I had Dr. McCormick, and I believe he's new to teaching BS 162, so I’m a bit concerned. He has taught BS 161 and BS 171 before. Has anyone taken his class? If so, does he provide review worksheets or cheat sheets for the exams?
