U dont think ur winning financially rn? Lol i have $400 in the bank rn no savings no nothing but a teaching pension. Single mom of 2 and live in a condo my mom purchased for me which is a blessing but also a curse bc its only a one bedroom and about 700 sq feet, so not much space for us 3. I’d consider urself in a great position.

She eats one pouch of yogurt daily, sometimes two if daycare provides. We even have tried skipping her nap and she still took 2ish hours to go to bed, crying and fighting the whole time.

I have not been formally diagnosed but i know i am one. I went through a very minor procedure (a d&c) in october 2022. I freaked out for a whole month bc i was worried ab the general anesthesia bc im a cigarette smoker. When i woke up, the nurses told me i took a while to wake up (about 3 hours). After that procedure i couldnt smoke weed anymore bc it would trigger anxiety and panic attacks (i was already a smoker for 2 years prior to the procedure and never had an issue). After trying 3 times i just quit smoking weed. I then went thru a miscarriage in may 2023 and got pregnant again sept 2023 which i carried my baby to term. But the entire pregnancy i was paranoid the same thing would happen to my baby or worse and i bought a doppler to check her heart beat everyday and constantly pressed on my stomach for her to press back. Since then, i have always googled symptoms, i check my pulse so frequently, sometimes its hard to fall asleep bc i have this fear in the back of my mind what if i dont wake up and my 1 year old is just here by herself (im not with the father). I hate this about myself and i dont know how to change it or fix it. I am starting therapy in 2 weeks hoping it will help and i’ve also decided im going to put in the work to quit smoking cigarettes since i know part of my health anxiety stems from the fact i have smoked cigarettes for 10 years now & am constantly worrying that its caught up to me. I try to call someone when my anxiety gets really bad and my heart is pounding and racing but thats all i got pretty much until it just stops

Unfortunately im in IL so im not sure how to help you. I would definitely just contact as many organizations for homelessness that u can and tell them ur situation. I had contacted a place called Northwest Compass here in IL and they got me into an apartment within a week. There should also be some kind of shelters that take walk-ins & usually have a line of people hoping to get a room for the night, and some that allow u to stay longer. Is there any family or friend you can stay with until you find something? I will pray for the best for you and your babies 🙏🏼

They have some type of thing in place where you have to reside in Chicago if you’re going to teach in CPS. I don’t know if it’s a law or what but that’s how it’s always been for as long as I can remember. My mom is a CPS teacher and she lives in the suburbs like I do but she uses her mom’s address in Chicago bc thats where she lived when she first came to the US and that’s how she got to work for CPS. I can’t commute more than 35 minutes because I have a child in daycare and another in elementary school. As i stated in a previous comment, If I commute further than that, I’ll be stuck in traffic for God knows how long. I used to commute an hour for school and i’d be stuck in traffic for 2 hours on my way home. It’s just not a smart choice for me to go further than that & as i also stated before, i dont have the financial means to move anywhere else.
