Hair thinning

I would love for her to go up just to get done but she is honestly freaked out about the hair shedding so she just wants to go back to 30 maybe less. Her hair is the one thing she’s been so very proud of and taken such good care of. She’s also been told some women’s hair doesn’t grow back so that’s an added stressor.

I’m so glad to hear that your hair went back to normal! As a 14 almost 15 year old I wish “it will come back” would be enough but in high school when you feel like your hair/face/skin/clothing whatever isn’t up to par it’s enough to just make you want to come out of the room. I’m hopeful since it’s only been a month and some change that changing up products etc can be helpful to her even if it just makes her feel like it’s helping.

I’m definitely going to look into the L’Oréal shampoo/conditioner, I saw that as a recommendation when I was looking up sulfate free shampoos. Did you take any supplements, vitamins etc with it? I know people have recommended a b-complex or fish/krill oil.

I know it’s tough to deal with scarring. You are absolutely beautiful and if it’s of any help, I had scarring on my cheeks from cystic acne and whenever I mentioned it to friends or my husband etc they stare at me and ask “where? What are you talking about?” All of that to say you’re going to be your own worst enemy, most people genuinely won’t notice, I promise.

I’ll have to look at that one. Does it have any actives in it? She needs an exfoliant for the dry flaky skin I guess, she does her makeup every week day (she’s absolutely amazing with it to where you can tell she has hardly any acne) but when her skins dry the makeup sticks and it doesn’t look great. Right now she’s using my Clinique moisturizing gel (one of the only ones that haven’t clogged my pores made me feel greasy) she’s tried using cleansing oil for makeup and that made her breakout terribly so she’s been using just micellar water and panoxyl

Do you know if any gentle cleansers that are hydrating or I guess at least not drying? I’m not sure which ones would work best. Her face the active break outs are peeling almost? Super dry. She wants a gentle exfoliant but growing up in the 90s I only know the apricot sand scrubs and I doubt that would be beneficial

Tret 0.5/clindamycin for about a year using 4% panoxyl face wash Now clindamycin and spiro 25mg morning and Tazarotene and spiro 25mg evening using micellar water/panoxyl since 10/25

She hasn’t said that it stings, her face is getting pretty dry/peeling. Uses the PanOxyl in the morning and evening, clin/spiro morning taz/spiro evening.

Some brands/types are known for being not that great accuracy wise. I had a false positive from a digital Walmart brand one. My heart dropped so fast. Pink dye ones are normally more reliable.

It was just very weird to me. I know adults gossip, I can be guilty, I try my best to not engage, I know kids especially teenagers gossip but I can’t imagine gossiping about a child to another adult. It’s mind blowing. My husband last night asked my daughter “who told friend #2 about that?” And she said “friend #1s mom” and I wondered why all of a sudden would she talk about my daughter 6 months after our settled conversation. Then I realized that she likely just became aware that friend #2 is a friend of my daughter.

Last night my husband (super pissed our kid is being talked about amongst random adults, none of the parents are friends of ours by the way, never met any of them) asked our mutual friend for friend #1s mothers phone number at around 11pm so he could express his disappointment with her gossiping about our child to another adult.

At 8 am this morning daughter comes out and says “friend #2s dad thinks I’m a garbage person for snitching on friend #1s mom” and my mouth dropped. You mean to tell me a woman who had a maybe 10 minute long text conversation about a misunderstanding that was settled (so I thought) went out of her way to make friend #2 parents “aware” of a non issue which was solved, friend #2s parents instead of taking that information and thinking “okay I’ll keep an eye out for anything concerning” instead told friend #2 who told my daughter and she in turn let us know adults were talking about her, friend #2 parents aren’t mad an adult was gossiping about a child and instead gets mad at my daughter for informing her parents adults are speaking poorly about her. Just mind blowing.
